My basis for high load test is Prime95 Blend/SmallFTT I can get either 101 or 124 depending on what clockspeed I am at, like right now im trying to find the lowest voltage possible on my 2600K @ 4.5Ghz I went with -0.050v offset ang I got a BSOD 124 in blend about 10mins after. with that offset im getting 1.296~1.308 vCore.
Would upping the VccSA from default of 0.920 to 0.935 help or this is something for 5Ghz+ domain already ?
I also have my VTT at 1.120v which I believe is quite excessive at 4.5Ghz ( just upping this for testing )
Im looking for a way to have power saving enabled by limit the max voltage to 1.380v loaded and not idle under 1.000v, is this kind of combination possible? ( I dont want it to idle at 1.380v also )

I believe that my 2600K needs something like 1.350~1.380v to be stable at 4.5Ghz which is quite depressing / unlucky as it feels extremely higher than most.
I learn something new about this board every night that I play with it. I thought I had hit a wall with my 2500k around 4.8Ghz, but it seems she has more life in her yet.
My problem was setting the vcore manually...I was getting a pretty bad vdroop. At 4.8GHz I need 1.38v to remain stable, but setting manually to 1.38v resulted in loaded voltages of 1.36-1.35v and instant crashes in LinX. This required me to run a manual vcore of 1.42v or more. If I leave the vcore at normal and use the DVID offset, I get a rock solid vcore and better stability. Right now I'm using a normal vcore and an offset of +0.020v to get 1.38v at idle and 1.39v under heavy LinX load. I don't mind the slight overvolt at heavy load because my day to day tasks never load it that hard and even so, my highest temp was 61C after 20 runs of LinX. I'm now able to 5.0GHz stable with +0.035 offset, but my temps creep up to 65C and I'm not gaining anything in 24/7 performance.
How many people use just a manual vcore vs. the DVID offset? What are your results?
I use offset because i want the voltages to drop when theres no load on the CPU, I believe it can extend the life of the processor.
Pretty nice setup there with 4.8 I would need +0.115 that results in 1.452v loaded.. Pretty awful chip!

Is it possible to make some software hack for the UD4 so that the phase leds always light up in full even if the system is idle? I dont wanna install the added power saving software junk.. I just want the LED :D

DVID is strange on this board, I was using DVID with a -0.010v offset to give me 1.334v loaded and I crashed BSOD124 while playing SC2 and now when I booted back its not 1.334 but 1.260 lol.. after clearning the cmos the same offset now gives me 1.334v back.. either this is a bug or SVID is not working correctly.

That's an hell of a card, runs smoothly full pot and reach really high clocks.
Too bad that I'm so damn CPU limited, did 118325 marks with air cooling at 1050-1150 MHz...
Anyone have any idea how I could fix boot loop at clocks higher than 4.4 GHz? I've got GA-P67A-UD3P, which is essentially the same as UD4 apart from couple features. I've tried every bios out there.
Enable Internal PLL Overvoltage?
Enable PLL Overvoltage only works with reboots. Normal boots still fail.
My other UD4-B3 with F3 bios just gave me a bios checksum error after a proper shutdown and started to recover back from the backup bios.. I've never experienced this on my UD4-B3 thats been used for overclocking... that other board is just all stock... anyone know whats up about this ?
Could be anything. Were you using pll overvoltage before you shut down?

I bumped up the vcore a little, seems to be OK now.
Currently it's set @ 44 x 99.8, with 1.38 vCore using DVID.
Doesn't seem to like 100 BCLK.
Would like to go higher, but the Sandy is new to me.
Are there any BIOS templates around for a UD4, either P67 or Z68 ??
CPUz doesn't show accurate voltages, using AIDA64.

Those are the most common bsod's you see with SB.
For CPU-Z use version 1.57.1 to get 100Mhz baseclock try to set the baseclock in bios at 100.2Mhz
Burt, I have the same mb and chip only difference perhaps the mem.
my ud4 is running at 4400mhz all settings in bios on auto.

I'm no expert, but 1.38v for only 4.4-4.5Ghz is quite a lot of voltage for that range. Most 2500k and 2600k chips see 4.5Ghz at 1.3v or less. What are your other voltage settings?
Hehe...my heavily degraded 2600k needs over 1.34v at 4.5 ghz now. Used to be stable at 1.284v. Oh well it still runs 5 ghz 1.51v with offsets and C1E.
Other 2600k still rocking at 4.5 ghz 1.260v but I swapped it with the first chip for now.

Had a bit of look in the BIOS, and came up with these:-
LLC-Level 2 (sort of disabled due to normal vCore, so as to use DVID)
vCore-currently 1.360 (appears to set itself depending on CPU frequency)
DVID- +0.090v
everything else is AUTO
CPU frequency 46 x
BCLK-1002
What do you make of that ???

+100 demo, Yep tyical XS posting as most users will only show off the good CPUs... I can vouch too that not most 2600K do 4.5 rockstable under 1.3... those are the good ones... most I build are ranging between 1.32 and 1.37Vcore... but I'm more interested in the +56 multiplier ones... instead of the low voltages

Can anyone explain the mechanics of this ON/OFF charge feature.. I already have my front panel USB connector connected oh the ON/OFF charge port.. So is this working only on apple devices? Do I need to install drivers?
You should add increasing cpu pll voltage can also help with 124's.
