Judging by the CCC limits for HD4870 which was 790MHz I would say 1050-1100MHz should be doable on most samples. We all know that most early HD4870 was doing 820-860MHz out of the box with a proper airflow.Quote:

yeah im basically with you. i have a 2900xt, and it does anything just fine, but not really cool uber graphics at 1920x1200. and i dont think i will go for a 5XXX card since it will be dx11 right? and i dont expect any game to look much better on dx11 until summer of 2011 when i could probably get a 6850ish for under 200$ and be much stronger than a 4890 plus with full dx11. please no one tell me how wrong my statement is with dates or models or prices, im just planning for the future.Quote:

With all of this talk about the overclocked versions actually being better, I am beginning to worry. It seems that the greatest point of this card is the extremely high overclockability. However, I will be pretty ticked if the "reference" versions are mediocre, and the good cards require the price premium. :mad:
