Wow, that's a sweet deal on those Q6600s man!

Let's party Beautiful People :eleph:  :party2: :rocker:
pom poms for the... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :wasntme:
dude!!! 3052 SUCK
I'd be more positive and say that 3043,3050,3051,3052,3060,3062,3064 and 3065 do not blow out so much as 2653 ;) (IIRC... 3064 is worse on my machines)
I am seeing an awful barrage of assignment server errors and EUEs on 3xxx projects the last couple of days! GAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!
:brick:
Hmm so far no issues here  Though I haven't gotten many 3xxx units lately. The one the client just downloaded is a 3062 though, we'll see what happens with it.
Strange request... does anyone have a socket AM2 CPU of some sort that they aren't using that I could borrow for a bit? I need to send in my phenom (unstable at idle, stable at full load :wth:) and I'd really rather not have to swap out board/cpu/mobo again, canibalizing fold6, and reinstall windows, just to go through it all yet again a couple weeks later when I get my replacement chip.
Just a few thoughts...
...you're sure have answered to this question "Allow receipt of work assignments and return of work results greater than 5MB in size (such work units may have large memory demands) (no/yes)" - yes?
And other projects than that p2653 are even more demanding, so hopefully you've upped cooling in every aspect. NB mounting is good to check (always), preferrably better (wc-)cooler to there, fan for mems... and so on
I know I should clean and bolt on properly my noctua nc-u6, giving few blue screens but yet not any EUEs  :D
Yup... referring to the readings of fahmon... while folding projects other than p2653... like now: taking total hit in PPD about -2300 :D (and I'm only a small folder)
I think i'm going to switch back to two consoles on my rig because the latest WUs i haven't been able to make before the Preferred deadline :( I pretty much have no time to game, or i come up short. Hopefully soon i'll have a Quad
What is your main rig? Even if you don't make the preferred you are still making the final deadline right? By how much are you missing the preferred deadline?
If it's making deadline very short a VM could be of help. Otherwise it's better sticking to two console's.
3.2ghz E4500, i've been thinking about lapping it and trying to go higher. My birthday is in 3 months so hopefully i get a Quad
A 50% OC isn't that bad for a E4500. And lapping probably wouldn't give enough extra OC, it's rather the cache which is holding it down. And off course if you regularly game on the same system, it gets hard for SMP's :)
And btw... I took my only quad down yesterday, so...
...
Oh ok, you had me worried there..
