On small FFT's??
Wow this thread still alive and kickin'...who wants to buy my IP35 Pro? PM me :D
HY GUYS. Can you help in drivers?
At the first post, there are a lot of driver for things. but they are really old. Maybe sbody have to collect the drivers again. the new drivers:D:D
Intel Matrix Storage Manager 8.70.1007 1/9/2009 Multi-Language
Intel Chipset Software v9.0.0.1008 6/2/2008
JMicron SATA driver v.1.17.46 WHQL
Realtek 8110SC Vista driver v6.216 2009/2/05 (pick which OS you want it for)
Realtek HD Audio driver v2.16 for XP/2000
Realtek HD Audio Driver v2.16 for Vista/Vista64
uGuru 3.109
Does the IP35 Pro have port multipliers on the esata ports?
I have tried installing the 3.109 uguru but when I look in the about (maybe I am not looking in the right place) it shows the 3.103.
Shows 3.103 here too. But why would abit upload a version of uGuru marked as 3.109 and not update the version number? But then again, in add/remove programs uGuru is listed as "abti uGuru" so I guess they could easily overlook it.
its 3.103 not 3.109 as indicated in their website...
I also had the same problem, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times, including reboots and using system restore to before uguru, and it still showed the wrong version. I also tried downloading from multiple locations
So I just gave up and assumed it was an oversite since it seems to be working fine, but who knows what they actually did
At abit's FTP, there are newer versions of uGuru than 3.103. Maybe those are indeed newer than 3.103?
I just did a fresh reinstall of WinXP64 last night with all the drivers I could find, and I have 5 unknown devices still. They have to do with ACPI and Em64T. Any idea where I can fix these so they are recognized?
Hey guys...
I have a Q6600 on my IP35 pro... Was thinking of getting a q9650...
Do you think it is worth it? Or just wait, and do a x58 upgrade?
What speed does the 45 nm Quads get on the IP35?
I think it would be best to wait, because the gains going from 65nm to 45nm are nowhere near those you'll see going from core 2 to i7.
If the price of upgrade the mobo and getting ddr3 are a concern you're going to have to do that some time anyway, and intel will be keeping LGA-1366 in the high end through sandybridge. The price of ddr3 has dropped very much in the past two month too. You can now put together an decent 920 system for around a thousand dollars. Plus if you need to save up, by the time you get the money, price will have dropped again :D
Also the 920 and q9650 seem to overclock to similar speed, they can both break 4GHz
Guys can anyone tell me how to flash a new bios to my ip35 pro? as you can see in the picture, I think my BIOS is version 10! I want to upgrade to 18 so I can use RAID0 and get a more stable overclock. I use a Usb mouse and keyboard
Any help is greatly appreciated as this is pretty much the only place where I can find support for this board!!
Q6660 at 3.2ghz
4 gb Corsair XMS2 Pc2-8500 DDR2
4870x2
corsair 650tx
BTW this MOBO is beastly, I'm so pleased with its overclocking abilities even on an old BIOS
Cheers Guys
fruees: As far as I know, the latest bioses include mostly 45 nm compatibility. I don't think I have tried 1.8 bios, but I tried some newer bioses, and they worked pretty bad with the Q6600 (temp readings), so I had to flash back to an older bios.
Im running 1.4 I think.
I use a usb pendrive to boot from and flash. But you can also do it from floppy. I don't think its safe to do it within windows.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I have gone into uguru in the bios and set my multiplier to 8 and set the cpu setting to 350 to get me a nice safe 2800 setting and set my memory to have about 840. The weird thing is though that when I go look at cpuz it shows 2100 and then bounces up to 3150 with a multiplier that bounces between 6 and 9. I set my multiplier to 8. I checked my pc wizard and it shows the cpu at 3150. Anyone???
turn off the cpu functions in bios. its throttling your multiplier down to 6 when your idling.
edit; advanced bios features->cpu feature
Thanks Jolly, when I flash it (next week) I'll post here the day before with the method i intend to use.
Thanks for telling me about the BIOS 14 and a Q6660 - I'll download that one, does any one else with a q6660 use this? Cheers lads
j0lly- What are your core temps at idle? What cooling fan are you using?
