- They are expensive compared to sticks that can clock better.

Hmm not a very good way to start out. Artificially hyping up the product to increase demand for what is essentially a mainstream product. Giving cherry picked sticks to the reps to test (i'm not blaming the reps, its all on the company's head). Now unless Teamgroup do something to show good faith, they lost a couple of thousand life long customers. Guess where they will go...-> OCZ, Mushie, G.Skill. Good job, good job!
i have the 2x1 gig micron sticks i have a dfi ultra-d OCZ powerstream 520 opti 165 300x9 24x7 stable i use 166 dividder ram at 245 everythings fine at 2.7 volts i go to 180 divider wont even attempt windows 2.8 volts same thing i copied sieras settings any ideas?? thanx in advance
Though I've been reading this forum for years, the only reason I finally registered was to express my total dissatisfaction with the type of hype we see regarding these new 'Super Sticks' we've been seeing lately.
Of course it could be said that running anything above spec is getting more than what you paid for, but I bought the particular ram I have expecting to run well above spec, since that is what all the hype lead me to believe I could do.
I guess I just miss my ballistics! (when they worked)
I've been burned 3 times on 3 different brands trying for a modest (3D Stable) 267MHz. These are the closest I've had to my goal. From now on I think I'll let the hype diminish and let a thread grow (and get some more realistic results) before putting down cash.
I will see, i have a find a german shop should have them soon.. If they don't come this next week i will certainly switch for G-skill 3200 UTT-BH5, I don't need 290mhz right now.. just something around 262-270x12.:D and with CAS2.0 (this will make the job, on the expert my TCCD are limited at 260x12 CAS2.5 )Quote:

someone buy my ocz GX and g.skill LE (which will be coming back from rma in a few days) to give me the funds and i'll give a go. sadly, i'm a broke student, hard to pay for a lot of the stuff that i have sitting around :p:Quote:

Did you lower the volts to 2.62 to gain more speed?Quote:

1. I did this on that PSU
2.try several boards.
3.Play upper divider(233, 216, 250)and Ds/DDS along with Tref
so ram is isolated to running exactly the speed you wanna test.:)

I've made an excel spreadsheet composed of almost everyone's stable settings and all I can say is...damn! There are very few similarities from system to system so I would have to say that these sticks are just trial and error until you get lucky basically. At everything set to auto on my current rig I can't get any stability whatsoever, yet others get up to 270 before running into problems. This is one heck of a learning experience to say the least!
