So basically once my card arives, connect 3d gto. I just burn the flash rom and bios to a cd. Boot from it and type in the command line? It's that simple? Sorry never altered a video card bios. Just kinda scared :P

I wouldn't try using the x800xt pe bios from the get go...it's much safer to just go with the 16pipe, default clock bios and then OC and tweak from there. It's easier to fix a driver level OC than a bios level OC.

Quick question, anyone know which ATI Silencer fits on the C3D GTO?

As long as it's a r423 2.0ns vivo 256mb bios

such as powercolor x800xt vivo 2.0ns ram - it's essential

anyone got a link to the a cd iso image for this flash.. Dont want to go through the hassle of hooking up my floppy drive just for this flash.

thanks for da tips guys.i will flash with the techpowerup bios and overclock to xt pe speed.but i will try the power colour bios suggested later.as soon as my card
gets here.anyone ever tried unlocking a HIS X800 gto ICEQ 2 Turbo.it has a monster of a cooler on it plus a r480 core.This card over clocked excellently on the test i saw but no mention was made about the chances of it unlocking to 16 pipes.

just grabbed my Connect3D GTO today and compared to the 6600GT this is a huge improvement to my current 3D bench-scores.
totally on stock with 100MHZ less CPU speed and a somehow damaged driver (some errors at the moment - can't go to driver settings) 01/03/05 new personal best with 25960/10560/47XX...16pipes mod successfully, I wait for the results...it is currently running...but the improvements regarding FPS seems very goood :D

ahhhh finally: 3DMark 03 - 11543 :woot: and on only 3100MHZ 16pipes, stock clocks without driver optimizing - great card!
only 177€ and the shop is only 40km away so I went there and got it - good investment :fact: :D :D

I just installed the VF700-Cu on my GTO2 and looped 3D05 a few times. Checked temps... max temp was 55.6C :slobber: With the stock cooler I saw 68C a few times... :woot:

I'm gonna let stuff cure before I o/c it anymore (ramsinks and AS3).

Now i just need to install the TT BT on my Opty :D
