But i think i have a heat problem.
I'm at 37idle and 53load. :slapass: @1,48v
Will buy watercooling when i am back from my vacation :fact:
Alright, I've resumed benching my Opteron....couple of quick observations/questions.
1) 2.5-3-3 does not work particularly well on my Opteron (like stability cuts out 10-15MHz lower--A HUGE drop), but 2.5-4-3 will scale like it did on my 4400+. At which speeds a divider with my CH-UTT is better, so my TCCD is out of the mix for my testing.
2) My temps are a good 10C cooler under load this time (IDK why, I had PERFECT contact last time) but my OC isn't any better--I'll try more volts (I'm only at 1.5V right now). 3175MHz is still my max for now.
3) I have Ricky tweak enabled (and did last time) because I only simply swapped out my 4400+....is there a way to disable it without a whole new install? I have a feeling temps are being negatively effected by it.
4) Is there any setting/configuration that you guys want me to specifically try?
I meant retail.Quote:

Just started to test the baby. Here is an little Screenie Primestable 24.12 Prime Small.Prime still runs since 1H 4mins.

Wow! Amazing clocks at that voltage. These have to be fx-57's only with locked dividers. I can't wait for mine to get here. Just found out it's the same stepping as yours Rufus7.
Now its coming better.
Next Update is 2830Mhz 1,264Vc Prime Custom.

run also 3dmark 2001 at 3400 but my gpu isnt big thing (x800gt)
i think this chip is a diamond :slobber:
That's awesome man!! Keep it up....you've got one great chip and some great cooling to go with it :D
I think you're right. Awesome 32M run at 3.4ghz!Quote:

I'm doing a little burn in right now with Prime (in "large ftt" setting since someone mentioned it was more stressful) at 2.8ghz and 1.3v. Hopefully it'll still be running in the morning. Maybe the burn-in will give it a little more headroom.
CABYE, has been seen once before in a opty 254 ($850 chip - default 2.8 ghz) and capped at about 3.1 ghz on water
are you guys flashing bioses with the Opteron installed or are you installing a Venice/San Diego to update the bios..... :)
Neither...I flashed awhile ago to 704-2BTA with my Toledo and left it....
socrilles, that was on a non-OCing board.....but at least we know it can do 3.1GHz on water!
you reckon it would be wise to flash with OptysQuote:

No Why flashing im using teh 510-1Fix with an 146 0530APMW.
And it works super with my TCCDs.
My new Results in Air. 3000Mhz at 1,36Vcore
Screenie ist here.

Those are some wicked high temps considering the voltage!! Also, how long is it stable? That could be like 5 seconds in :stick:
I have Aircooling man. And it was 2 Minutes before stopping.Needs a little bit more Vcore. Like1,376vc.
It's still hot considering the voltage....considered taking off the IHS? I bet it could make your chip even more impressive :slobber:
No IHS is still on the CPU! I will take him under Water then the Temperatures will fall to the Ground or only cold air will be enough.Impressive is that I can make 2900Mhz at 1,29Vcore.Prime Custom.
Is contact between cooler and chip good? Because temps are very high for so low voltage even with air cooling
These 0530 are just verry hot chips.
mine have hot temps too.
mine arent much better, full load 1.36v 2.8ghz i get 52C load
