wow...@ 11x 250 =2.750 v core @ 1.6 idle 33c load 45-46 c ...the Zalman is working nicely about 74 ambient temps.
i think i can run a little less voltage.. but im not sure yet... ive looped 2001 se for about 1 hour just testing, im going to leave voltage as is and try for 11x255 = 2805
running atitool and cpu-z + on the net typing this now running 2.750.... im grinnin big time
@11x255= 2805 temps the same no rize..maybe 1c... how do i do a screen shot? and post on here??? thanx
run cpuz (from www.cpuid.com) then press F5, a bmp pic will be saved in the same dir, then covert it to png or jpg using any program and attach it when you post, the attach pic button is in the toolbar right beside the bullets button..Quote:

Stock cooler and room temp @ 25ºC, I think it's time for VapoChill LS :toast:

ty.....figured out the jpg deal...lol duhhhhh couldnt be any ez er

I received mine from Newegg last week and it's the exact stepping in the title of the thread! This one is a good SuperPI chip: passed 32M at three clocks last night: 2800 @ 1.57, 2880 @ 1.67, and 2880 @ 1.617. The last is the one that counts ;). I would have been happy with 2880 @ 1.67, but didn't think it would be stable even lower.
After passing 32M @ 1.617 VCORE, next up was the two toughest tests I know: 3DMark2003 and 3DMark2005 (damn CPU tests!). I thought 3DMark2005 was the toughest test, until I cleared that on one clock, but blue-screened as soon as I clicked on 3DMark2003 :p:. No problem here. It was already 1:30 am so I quit testing, but the other two Marks will be a cakewalk.
At 2900 and 1.67, it passed SuperPI 1M but locked while loading a level in 3DMark2003.
The mem controller on this one isn't that much better than my two 3500+ CBBHDs, so I don't know whether that's good or bad . . .
I have some VX4000 that do 261, 2-2-2-8 @ 3.3, so guess what 261x11 comes out to??? 2871 ;). I can also run 320x9, 166 divider for 261 on the ram, which should be faster.
I am running a HC200; this chip doesn't run hot at all. Room temp is 21C, water 27.5C, and CPU 27.8C @ 1.617 (digital probe touching the heatspreader).
After I verify stability at 261x11, I will be updating my sig :banana3:.

i only had that one sim on my system...nothing else, but ive always built my own from the first one from the amd 350 on up, and ive pretty much upgraded as i saw a jump enough to validate the expense.
just the last 2 years ive started overclocking , but never in depth.
mostly basic overclocking, minor ram tweaks.
this is my first serious oc attempt . as you people will get to know, ill ask some very noob questions at times simply because i never needed to know anything more than run the sim. but i take critisism and joking well and will mess with ya at times when i can... :)
TY shimmishim.... i'll check it out later.

Sold my old one and got a new one. CAAZC 0452MPMW. Thought they started making these in 2005 lol :)
Nope.. I´ve got a 0422GPMW. Wont even do 2.45 @ 1.5v .. :stick:Quote:

Damn thats not good Formann. Sorry to hear that mate. Havent tested mine yet. Probably in a few days.
Dani: What stable speed did you get yours to?
I know its a bit late, but this guy cracks me up.Quote:

PPS: Mine is still going strong, had a scare this week when i blew up my mobo running a vcore mod, thankfully my baby survived.
well..ive had this one @ 2.805 11x255 5.3 mem ( 333mhz ) running prime ( "blend" ) for about 6 hours now no errors yet... i did have to raise the voltage to 1.65 ( runs @ 1.62-1.66 ) but it did raise the temps to 37 idle--- 51-53 c ...running atitiool for 3d view to heat it up..with cpu-z and asus probe in background... ran a sim for about 1/2 hour no problems before starting prime. tried 2.9+ but couldnt get it to boot into windows ( think its my memory holding me back). not enough overclocking experiance to tweak it past this hurdle..
but...a 600+ overclock !!!! damn!!! on air at that !!! watercooling and good memory and im sure this would hit 3 .0 or better... im happy, i'll run it 24/7 11x240 2640 @ 1.50 volts where it has proven to be solid and good temps.
edit: ran 3dm3 and 3dm5 and aquamark @ 2.706 successfully. :toast:
With these guys the difference between Air and Water is minimal in terms of OC
With boxed cooler 24h Prime95 stable@2605MHzQuote:

Just got mine ada3500dep4as caa2c.
Mine runs hot as hell. 55c idlle open case with a large desk fan blowing on it (stock heatsink). Runs 73c doing prime, sp2004 overclocked @ 2600 mhz. And this is with the fan blowing on it on high. Its even reached 76c but I quit the program at that point. How are you guys "Burning in" your cpu? Which programs, which methods? I'm not talking about testing, but the burning in part. Is it better to run high volts (~1.675) with an underclock (~1000mhz) or overclock 2600mhz with low volts (~1.5v). I'm reading 2 different recommendations on the net.
