FYI, I pushed something like 1.7v to get 580/610
phase change of course.

Do u have any idea of safe voltage using air coooler?

I've got them straight from Alcoa, cutted pieces from extruded alumminum

Actually they have a preatty rudimmentar finish, but I've polished them..

It cost me around $0.5 each

I really like them in my 9800Pro

no, sorry - you can usually tell you are pushing too much if you go in small increments and monitor your overclock. push .1v, test. when your overclock starts going DOWN you are pushing too much. When you are getting shutdowns, etc. of course max voltage for anything less than phase is going toe much less than 1.7. I would stay at 1.55 or so.

Nothing special, I have bought Silencer today... so I have tested it.
My previous limit was 440 for the core with stock cooling

Unfortunely I have a crap winchy :\

Actually mine ATi comed w/ a vddq of 2.10V and that's enough, quite high already.

5.9 looks good, about +80 points for me (from 5.7/5.8)

old thread I know but did a little more benching with the x800xl and reached some new scores and clocks with some mother nature help in the cooling department. still no mods at all.

its the original 430 core. purchaced back in 03/05. no mods except for zalman vf700-cu cooler. it loves cold air.
