iirc there used to be some tccd based buffalo ram rated 2-2-2, firestix cl2 was the name i think. however, they were discontinued some time ago.
as for gig sticks with tccd, there isn't any simply b/c there is no 64x8 rev f samsung ic's.

Thanks for the replies, guys. You've pretty much answered my questions. Ironically, it was those 1GB sticks linked to at newegg by gundamit that started this whole line of questions for me, as newegg's product description depicts them as 1GB modules with the Samsung TCCD chipset, then the picture shows Micron ICs. There is a thread over at OCF where one of the guys was asking about that ram.
I just got my rig fired up a few days ago and both the CPU and them mem hit a wall at 280htt(2.5-4-3-7) 1:1. I have the corsair 3200XL v1.2 TCCD(2x512) and a E6(0530) 3000 venice on a 9npa+ ultra. With the newest bios I was stuck at 245 with the mem, once I got the older beta I got to 280. I was a bit worried cause the 3200xl are supposed to be V hungry unlike other TCCD, but these like low volts. I had them running 250 at 2.5v and now they are at 2.7v.
Hey thank you for sharing that. I was just ready to order those from Newegg...Quote:

I just got them in the mail today and I put them in at 2.5-4-4-7 2.9v 300MHz 1:1. I really havent tested them much yet but I will. The TCCD's are 513's. I'll have to check next time I reboot. Here is a quick Sandra test (I ran it 5x so its right)---

Just would like to add Ultra XL PC3200 Samsung TCCD 0510 on BP6U815....So far it's doing 2-3-3-6 on my P4P800 OCCT Stable for 10Hrs :D Seems to be doing much better compared to it's P.O.S Ocz Plat rev2 counterpart that i have it paired up to:clap:
Well i fried a cpu got a new 3000+. It likes much higher HTT's. Paired with this new OCZ pc3700 ive been to windows up to 290HTT but still tweakin. Current max stable is 275 which isnt all that bad for a Via board i reckon. Its TCCD brainpower808 rams. Only paid $150us for a gig of this stuff so not bad.
my ocz plats rev2 get very hot at only 255mhz 2.5-3-3-7 and after some 30min of heavy load they fail in prime. did anyone remove the heatspreaders of those sticks and what to expect when doing that?
my k8ns ultra-939 board has the slots for dual operation configured so: AA BB. will i gain stability with removing the HS?
i got a set of these --> Kingston HyperX PC 3200ULK2 ~ Not in UK (15/10/04)
anyone here knows if theres a way to check if they are TCCD or not without removing the heatspreaders ?(dont want to void the warranty as they are brand new) .....they overclock very poorly thats why im wondering if Kingston might have changed to something else instead of TCCD. sry if im posting in the wrong thread but...if they are not TCCD the list should be updated ;)
I am looking for some high quality ram to go along with a 146, 148, 165, or 170 Opteron, can someone recommend me any
Are tccd or bh5 still recommended and available anywhere
TCCD are still being used for memory, yes. BH-5s (ORIGINAL stuff, not UTT crap) haven't been made in years.
Thanks for the informationQuote:

actually trcd and trp matter more than cas latency.

I'm pretty sure those are UCCC not TCCD. But do a search on the forums, some people are getting 270 MHz some not so much.Quote:
