i just ordered it :D
Anyone know where i can start reading on how to use it (manual/tutorial)? i heard it has a real steep learning curve, and i want to get a heads start :D

I have 2 koolance fm17 running on the A5 and one of my PA2s. The A5 seems to be more accurate than the PA2 as it has better filtering of extraneous noise in the signal. The PA2 get spikes in the signal, although it could just be a bad flow meter signal too that would possibly do the same on the A5 but i didnt test it. You can use ch1 of the A5 for a 2nd Flow meter though and it should be fine. You will need to change the koolance connectors from a 2 pin to a 3pin fan connection. I just popped the pins and put them in a couple spare offcut 3pin fan connectors I had lying around.
You will absolutely be fine but you might get a bit more Vdroop running everything off 1 12V rail.
I have everything on 1 feed for mine with 6 x PA2s and it runs fine but I only get 11.2V out of it.

OK all, I've been following this thread and the one on the other site since the beginning, now it is my turn to set one of these up. I know there is a ton of help here so here goes all my questions.
My setup
(1) AE5
(3) PA2's
(2) MCP-655 w/speed control
(2) flow meters
(2) inline temp sensors
(4) 4 temp probes
(1) bank of 8 GT1850's
(1) bank of 2 GT1850's
(1) bank of 4 GT1850's
(1) bank of 3 GT1850's
I am thinking the following:
Channel 1 = MCP-655
Channel 2 = (1) bank of 4 GT1850's
Channel 3 = (1) bank of 2 GT1850's
Channel 4 = MCP-655
Channel 5 = (1) bank of 3 GT1850's
Channel 6 = (1) bank of 8 GT1850's
1) Does the above channel layout look good or should I change something?
2) How do I tell which channel is which on the AE5 and PA2’s ?
3) Where do I hook up the inline flow meters, AQ brand ?
4) Where do I hook up the in-line temp sensors, AQ Brand ?
5) Where does the USB plug into the AE5? This is a little bit of a premature
question since the AE5 seems to be labeled but I haven't looked at the cable
yet. I am thinking it plugs into a USB 2.0 mobo header. Is that correct?
6) What functionality does the USB give me?
7) Can I use the USB to shut down the PC, instead of the power connector /
relay option?
How does the accessory power cable hook in for shutting down the system? Is
this needed if I use the USB cable? This is also a premature question. I have
looked at the 24 pin cable, AQ Brand, very closely yet.
9) If I use the power cable and relay connector to shut down the PC, when I cut
the one “loop wire” on the AQ 24 pin cable how do I wire it to the relay connector?
Which wire goes where?
10) Where should I hook up the temp probes that came with the AQ devices, to
the PA2's or the AE5?
11) Does the AE5 loose it's configuration if the PC is powered off?
Any other suggestions anyone can make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
for taking the time to look and hopefully assist.

jcrouse: 4 pin molex of pumps? Yes, you need to convert them, if you want to regulate their rpm-s from within aquaero (as MCP655(D5) can be regulated only with builtin speed controller or by lowering voltage, then of course supplied power/voltage needs to come through AA5). Unite black and red wire from 4pin molex + yellow rpm tach wire from separate 3pin connector to all go via single 3pin connector.
i'd like to buy this toy, but .... does it need aquaero pumps to read the flow meter? or any pump should be just fine?
Any pump is fine, as the flow meter only calculates the liquid flow, independant from the pump :)
Flow meters are optional. Get it on your own. Apart from AC flow meter any 5v open gate will work too.
got it .....
oh i didnt ask , wich is the max W output for each channel?!
Just to be sure, is it this version of the D5 you need to be able to control it with a Aquaero?

And do you connect the power wires on a 3pin contact?
@p3gaz
20w per channel, but not over 60w totally. So you cant go 20w on every channel.
dohh, out of stock.
This is also the same? http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=3112
And also, the koolance version PMP450 also work? It says that it have a tach wire?
Electrical Connector: 4-pin Molex power supply connection + 3-pin (single lead) tach
Have koolance done some improvments over the "old" D5 or why is it 10 more bucks?

The data sources fit assignment works when you operate more than one aquaero
Importing the overview pages now works with several connected aquaero 5
I brought AQ5 PRO and AQ5 LT, for use with tons of fans and 2 pwm MCP35X.
So, its saying AQ LT now works as slave to AQ5 pro now ???
slowly begins to make fun me the Aquaero
respectful, to see naked breasts.
