Anyone know when abouts a newer bios will be out? To hopefully add the lower multi but to fix any program usage glitches and not having to use the jumper on fixing a boot.
update: looks like the extended timings are also altered with divider changes. I'll put together a larger spreadsheet with those as well, but I'm taking care of a sick girlfriend now so I'm away from my desktop.Quote:

Oh, something weird I noticed with my board. I'm supposed to disable EIST and CE1, right? But when I set my fsb to like 380 or more, it will not boot no matter how I raise my voltages. But when I enable both of them, it boots just fine. Is that how it's supposed to be or...
I just jumped ship; from Abit (check my sig) to Intel. Things look really good. I was one of the "doubters" but I picked up a Rev. 505 board a few days ago and things look very promising indeed, with a few exceptions of what works and what doesn't. Of course I had to learn the hard way with lock-ups by Everest and SANDRA, and I'm playing with the ITK tool now, very cool. This board is a gem and deserves a guide on this forum; with some stickies. I am tempted to start a new thread with a link to this one. What do you guys think? I'm sure knowledgeable members like Tony wouldn't mind contributing some tips and tricks to the thread? Cheers!
Yes a guide would be great..Quote:

I picked it up at the Micro Center at Troy/Madison Heights, Michigan. Full retail version with 3 years limited manufacturer's warranty for $219.00  I'm currently running latest bios 2395 with the components in my sig (minus mobo, of course) and I'm currently at 390x10, 4-4-4-8. And I needed less voltage than on the Abit (something Tony has noted a few pages back).Quote:

My multiplier isn't working even though I have an ES chip, weird. I think it's a bios thing. The board does 400 fsb, but it's not stable and I want to tread slowly, don't want to push it too hard - took many trips already to short the jumpers.Quote:

I thought this mobo would do 400fsb easily..I thought speeds over like 430fsb were an issue
this board will do 450 and up on the 1333 strap, he is most likely having problems due to the fact that a CPU gets slightly warm when running over 4.0GHz ;)Quote:

E6700, typos are fun:p:Quote:

:D . My memory timings are indeed tight. Running at 4GHz isn't my priority right now. I'm on the 1066 strap with memory running at 960Mhz 4-4-4-8 @ 2.4 volts. I'm running DRAM:FSB ratio of 5:4.Quote:

I have been waiting for the RD600 but at $210..this looks to be the best option
I have an e6600 that supposedly will do 3600(not sure if orthos stable) on P5b @1.45v and 1.55v on P5w....
I have 10th anniv crucial and have been waiting for a mobo...
the badaxe 2 sure looks good now
Oh, YES please! Would love to see a tut on this board. Actually this site and thread is a treasure trove of info - just a matter of hunting them down. heh, everything I've learned so far from building a PC and OC'ing, I learned from XS.Quote:

It can't be ! Please someone tell me the multi works on ES CPU's on this board.Quote:

I'm finally seriously considering this board. Sick of holding out on motherboard purchase that take forever to make it to market like the DFI ICFX3200-T2R I have waited so long for .
Only the Extreme series core 2 and quads have unlocked multipliers, E6700 and below Engineering Samples are not working... yet.Quote:

I don't know if this fixes any of the reset issues which may be only on intel's side.

Can someone write a decent writeup/review/guide on BX2 as the only available review compares with Gigabyte 965P-DQ6. This would further help people looking for a stable board to hit 400-420 range on E6600/Xeon3060.
Just a thought!
we can work out a guide and change the thread title...including everything on the same thread
