the 6600 and 6300 are retail boxes. grab while you can as the normal supply will start only in September as the suppliers claim and the prices are unlikely to go down.
www.komplett.co.uk have the E6600 in retail for £220, just ordered mine
32 left at 4pm
omg wtf
I can't even seem to get past 2.7 wtf
I must have the :banana::banana::banana:test p5w in the world or something.
I can't work out why it's crapping out just above :banana::banana::banana:ing 300 fsb
The chipset heatsink doesnt feel that hot and neither does the xp90c so wtf!!!
somebody help :(
If the chipset heatsink doesn't feel that hot then depending on what the temps are reported in WinXP then I'd get the thing off, remove the stock paste and gets some AS5 on it instead :)
could using raid 0 on the sil image ezbackup ports be causing this??
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS finaly came :D :D :D shame i cant do anything with it as i dont have my ram yet. Its crap lookin at all the stuff ive bought knowing i cant do anything yet. Cant wait till i can tho

OK, seems hyperpath 3 enabled in the bios was causing that :/
Got to 360x9 but seem to have hit another wall :/
Atleast way better than before. I think maybe it's because I have value ram. Hopefully I can buy some decent ram soon..
not bad to start with :)Quote:

lol, it seems to completely hate 4:3 divider. I don't know what's going on because on the celeron I could do 720 4-4-4-10 with 2.1v 3:5 divider. Now I can hardly do 720 5-5-5-15 with 2.2v and 1:1 divider..
strange..
Whilst in bios, 28 cpu, 38 chipset...Quote:

Finally it's here, something to tinker with, the joy. I'm a sad git.
Anyway, P5WDH+G.Skill HZ+E6600. Wouldn't boot on 300w PSU. Swapped to my PCP&C 510. Started with a celeron sub flashed to 903. Replaced with conroe, stuck in 3.6Ghz DDR-800 vcore-1.4v mch-1.65v. Memtest boot disk, off she goes. So far so good, early days yet.

Oh no :( I got a problem guys... For some reason the monitor says "No video input" and I can't see anything on the screen at all. Just that message scrolling around. I have a P5W motherboard and I tried the other PCI-E slot but that didn't work either. I tried a DVI connector to the monitor and also Analogue but to no avail :(. I'm positive the graphics card is in properly. Everything turns on, the fans, lights... You guys got any ideas? I don't have a spare PCI-E card though to check if the card is ok or not though.
EDIT - PC Components
C2D E6600
P5W DH Deluxe
G.Skill 6400HZ
Enermax Liberty 500W
Sapphire Radeon X1900XT
I had the same everthng looked ok, but no display. It was an under powered PSU. Rated at 300w, no go.Quote:

Switch the memory around in the slots / try 1 stick.
Ensure the GCard is seated correctly (you shouldn't see any metal on the slot connector).
PSU - Make sure you have a powerful enough PSU (A good 400 Watt PSU is literally bare minimum, probably need in most setups 450-500).
Beyond that it could be the MB or GCard is DOA(Dead on Arrival).
Also ensure your ram is compatable with your motherboard especially if you have a 965 chipset motherboard.
Whats the mb bios number (written in the top). Bar the PSU, that very much my rig. Is the Liberty a native 24pin (not a 20 to 24 pn adapter),4 pin connected?Quote:

Yup the Enermax has a 20pin with a separate 4 pin connector. Both of these are connected :). Also i took the old bios (0401) and put the new bios chip that came from Rizwan. I tried both chips though afterwards.Quote:

Ok mate, I will do all that tomorrow morning. Too tired and my thumb hurts from all that pulling out, pushing in lol. If I do that and it still does not work, what is it likely to be? The motherboard?Quote:

I'm going for the MSI 975X Platinum Powerup Edition.
