FYI in my first review i just listed what was in the gigabyte PR stuff, but compared to the Asus PR stuff they are equally false. Notice the only ppl who fought me on what i said work for GB, either then or now. Anyways i don't use their stuff after that first review, check out the rest of my reviews, no GB PR stuff.
BTW before i didn't have a scope, but i went out with my own money and bought a scope so that i can prove and show what i am talking about.

I just like you guys am expressing my opinions, i can hit my max clock on almost every BIOS, some have problems with RAm yes. I'm looink for a new Boot disk, bin running so far on 2 F3's in raid0. As far as I've looked around and know the Crusial M4 128GB would be the best Bang for bug.
I don't want the Vertex 3, because of the crappie sandforce controller, no offense for the one's how have one, but i preffere quality above performance. I was also considering the Intel 510, but that one kost alot more, about 50euro = $72,- more than the Crucial M4 in my country.

yea sergio is right, LLC level 2 raises the voltage under load, i mean it could be fine, but its better to use LLC level1 for 24/7.
And the CPU PLL stock is being a bit overvolted, you can decrease it a bit, it might help, 1.6v-1.8v is usually the sweet spot, its a bit more useful when going subzero. You can also try raising it and see if that helps, you just gotta experiment.
The reason i say set BLCK control to enable, is b/c you have no clue what BLCK its going to set. Sometimes even a few mhz can hurt your OC.
what is your Freq at 1.428 load? i don't think i can get 5ghz stable at 1.428 V loadQuote:

Actually i think level is better no? Because you have low idle voltage and when you need the full voltage for full OC lets say 5ghz you have the voltage... and you get way lower idle temps
I've been experiencing random crashes where the screen will go black, no BSOD, no error, no nothing. Just a blank screen (Orange LED on monitor as if it's asleep) with the box still on, whirring away.
I've been troubleshooting for 4 days now and finally figured out the problem. My BIOS has been increasing the CPU multiplier each time i turn the PC on (Or it did it at one point which i didn't notice). Seeing as i run my PC at stock it was causing problems due to other settings not matching the increase in frequency.
It seems a reflash of the BIOS has fixed the problem, but today my pc wouldn't boot and a hard reset of the BIOS was needed. I'm currently running F5, but the issue started on F3H. I'll reflash another BIOS later to see if it resolves it.
any ideas?

Im playing Battlefield Bad company 2 and after about an hour of playing my PC would Hand UP and freeze completely on ingame image, no BSOD nothing. Just Freeze on frame.
I know the videos cards arent heating.. so does a CPU OC can cause a freeze and no BSOD?

I have the UD7 and i played BFBC2 on it for a while with a OC. I had no problem of this sort.
I know You need to close down ET6 as it can cause DCP latency issues on certain GB boards. Maybe try increasing your vcore?
I think your BFBC2 is ATI driver related... I have similar issues with 5870, 6850 with latest catalyst drivers... either it will freeze and or jump back to desktop (it doesn't matter CPU/GPU OCed or not) Reverting back to older drivers my setup is far more stable in BFBC2. All other games play fine with the latest CAT drivers... fix one thing and break another is till a major issue in the T. Macadon team :(

Did you clear the CMOS RIGHT after flashing, with the power cord unplugged, for at LEAST 30 seconds, after having the computer powered off for at least a minute BEFORE using the clear cmos button? AND using the MS DOS spiflasher? You're supposed to turn off the computer after the DOS flash is complete, without letting it restart, and do a full cmos clear as above. It helps, after turning the computer off and unplugging the PSU, to depress the power button for a few seconds, before doing the 30 second clear cmos. And for the Love of God, don't flash in windows....
Do this and your F3H will be perfectly back to normal.

Quite a bit of fluctuation on mine too (B3). F3h wont allow me to use L1 and then I made the mistake of using F5e.....no boot......went to F6a and I'm getting my 56x chip back up and running, but there is still fluctuations. When I input 1.67/L7 I get an initial 1.728 in cpu-z then it drops to 1.69 then 1.644 then, when running LinX it stays around 1.62 (this is Vcore I mean). If I use L8 there is a similar set of fluctuations.
Going to do @falkentynes method of clearing cmos to see if that helps.
I have to say that my new MIV-Gene Z (mini MIVE-Z) is very stable in the Vcore department but I don't want to "gunge" it up for the SS just yet.
hey guys, can someone help me out?
I'm recently trying to set up a raid5 array with 3x F4 2TB. Only way i can set it up is trough bios interface.
But i already have 1 F4 full with data so that's a no go, because i'll then lose the data on the currently instald F4, so i need to Migrade the new 2x F4's with the one that already has data on it. So software raid is probably my only choice. So i tried Gigabyte XHD and I get this same error every time. tried on Windows7 64bit also tried a clean instal. my boot is an M4 SSD, don't know if that has anything to do with it.

you gotta clear cmos and load optimized defaults during your first boot up after flashing the BIOS.
jbk- why not take the data off your one F4 and setup with BIOS RAID, and put it back after.

Hasn't been anything to report lately. The UD4 thread has been getting most of the traffic, since they put in the 10 LLC levels in that recently. The UD5 thread is even worse; last post there was last May....
Are these 6 series boards PCI-E 3 GPU compatible , that is with an ivy bridge cpu when they arrive , only the story going around is that although GB announced that all 6 series boards are pci-e 3.0 compatible , basically that they are not, anyone know ?
Anybody got the same problem as I have with the Gigabyte Z68 UD7 board? It worked fine for one month, but now my system just freezes for no reason I can think of. This is even in a non overclocked state with a 2600K and Win7 64Bit Home Premium. There is no BSOD. It just hangs, and my keyboard or mouse don't do anything anymore, they don't get any power too as the leds are out. When I go into the Bios (F5 version) it says 'The System has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of voltages. the last settings in this page may not coincide with current H/W states'. The Event Viewer for Win7 doesn't show any reason why the system hanged. Is my board fried in some way?
