not many people will have X2 cpus, so that problem isnt as relevant. Temp issue isnt a big deal as its been that way from waaaaay back when. Difference between T1 and T2 not much of an issue there since no one can really tell the difference unless you're a hardcore bencher. Bios 13 or 14 and problem solved for SLI. Unless you are going X2 (which not many people will) stick with bios 13 or 14 and you really dont have much of an issue.Quote:

YES I tested old school Corsair BH5 2*256MB at 268MHz 1:1 @3.45V(this is the max actual voltage you get out of the board at the moment as it undervaults by 0.1V at high vdimm....so yeah they kick ass

What are you planning on using for the chipset?
Is the heatpipe not enough for heavy overclocks?
Would putting a fan on the heatpipe fins improve its performance?
I plan on getting an an8 as well when the become available so im curious.

Does this bios actually monitor chipset temps and where in bios (system one seems a bit low temp wise could be wrong)
also would airflow on the heatpipe grills improve stability and OCing....I am planning to test this but there's just too much :banana::banana::banana::banana: going on ATM...so asking if anyone's tried this or not

i tried 290 mhz on my rams with timming 2.5 4 3 6 with 2.75v. Memtest86+ passed test#5 and Test#8 both more then 10 tests. But during booting up into windows system will just power down sometimes lucky enough will get into windows then power down after awhile.

i plan on using an asetek waterchill pro kit with a 3x120mm fan radiator and a sacem pump with an asetek waterblock. probably a little overkill but it does get hot. vidcard will be water chilled and cpu will be cooled by the mach 2 GT im in the process of purchasing. If you were able to mount fans on the fins of the heatpipe at rear of case i think the heatpipe would be more effecient.
