I have ran 11 hours of prime, only. No other burning in etc. I have also remounted the cpu cooler, so the AS5 needs to resettle, before I can try much more vcore. I'm only getting 42C max temps now as well. :D

oh hehe, forgot to mention the vcore. i'm at 2.75 with a vcore of 1.7 right now. folding all night last night. i'll try your suggestion and hope for the best. thanks.

well not much luck with changing the multi to 9 and htt to 311 and a divider. i think it might be the memory that is failing. i might have to loosen up the timings. i have 2x512MB g.skill tccd and at 9x311 with a cpu/9 divider, the memory is at 280Mhz. timings are at 2.5-3-3-7. i had to pump the vcore up to 1.75 to boot into winxp at 9x311. i ran folding for a few minutes and then hard reboot :(. i wonder if the cpu is reaching its limit or the memories are crapping out. my goal is 2.8G or above, so this chip might be on sale :).

9x300 @ 1.41v seems to work, when it has passed 24h prime95 + some stuff I'm gonna try for a bit more. 9x312 was a no-go, I can choose between too low vcore or too high temps.

I had a terrible Venice, it was LBBLE 0516 that needed 1.5v for 2.4GHz :mad:
Now I'm with a LBBLE 0515, 2.7GHz and 1.47v :D

I think this information of OCCT is wrong. My 12v rail can't be this #*(*$( :D, and I DOUBT that my CPU temp is only ~30ÂºC.

i know :). thanks for the advice. i dropped down to vcore of 1.7 and a speed of 10x275. i use mbm to measure cpu temp, but i don't think it's accurate. with vcore of 1.75 at 9x311, idle temp reports 29-30c and load is usually 49-54c. i got smartguardian install, but hardly use it to check temps. anyone running a dfi sli-d and using mbm to monitor temps? i was thinking of pumping the vcore even higher to like 1.77 or 1.8 :). i wish i can find a nice venice to oc to 2.8 higher and be content with it.

What cooling do you have?
I'm at 49C load, open case, at 2.7G/1.42v. With 1.55+ vcore the temperatures skyrocket...

i got an xp-120 with a silverstone fm122 fan blowing 110cfm airflow into the heatsink. the mobo is sitting ontop of the dfi mobo box :). i'm waiting on getting a better cooling solution. i'm waiting patiently for the zalman cnps9500. the xp-120 is performing adequately, but i really want a copper heatsink. i'm contemplating watercooling, but don't want to deal with the whole setup :). when it idles at 30c or below is when cool air from outside is blowing in. my room can get really hot when it's 80-90 degree f. i don't want to put it into the case now because i know temps will go way up.

dng29, you've got a week 16, i personaly wouldn't be expecting 2.8+ out of a week 16. I think 2.75 is a respectable OC for the chip that you've got. Justmentioning 1.8V on air cooling scares me... hehe

i guess i should stop at 2.75 before i get carried away :(. i'm going to try and lower the vcore down to 1.6 to run 2.75 and see if the cpu will like it. thanks for stopping me from screwing up my cpu :).

If I was you, I'd be VERY happy :D

My Old 3000+ CBBLE 0516CPBW needed 1.5v to 2.4GHz and 2.7GHz was simply NO GO, even with 1.725v, it was far, very far from the stability.

is this offical bios? aka Date Code 2005/03/10 ?

i have wierd problem. in idle its 28C and when uturn on prime or superpi then its increas to 36c in a millisecond. and when i shut those programs then its 28C again in millisecond :confused: :slapass:

cpulover... memory @ 4v? :confused:

cpumark ok at 294.7 1.5-7-12-2-2-5 but superpi 1M and more doesnt like that
16 ok at 293 and 0.203 for 2633MHz :D
