i think i want one of these boards...
check your manual, page 48 to be specific.
from reading about the two codes, sounds like you have a corrupted bios...i would try a quick clear of CMOS with the battery out, power cord unplugged and also, push the power button to unload all the caps...let it sit for 5-10 minutes...set the jumper back to normal and pop the battery back in and plug in your PSU...lets hope that works...also, only try with one stick of memory in the first slot...remove all attached hardware except for your VC and the one stick of memory.
if this does not work, you might have to re-flash the bios including the bootblock...i have a link to describe the procedure for the "BIOSTAR" board...be careful to ensure you click on the correct link.
go here to read up on AMI recovery procedure...i hope it will work for you: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=2105

ok...now unplug everything from the board and take the cpu out..let it sit for a day or two and then give it a shot...another user had something similar and he left it alone for about a week and then it worked...if your's comes alive, i would suggesst that you flash it again.
K - I am just gonna use my I45 as a Frisbee LOL - no I will return it or try to get some RAM from a friend... that will hopefully work ok
yeah - i got the ok to borrow some friend's memory here in town so that will save me some $$
This DDR2 RCOMP Configuration seems to have major impact in high FSB. The reason, I couldn't boot over 590FSB was Auto and option "4". Now I changed it to "3" and it booted up to 6x631FSB to win :D
Tho, I couldn't go over 633FSB even with SetFSB. No matter what volts and settings I used. Maybe my Adata 800+ (D9*) held me back. I'll give another try with OCZ D9GMH...
Tried a quick "max spii1M stable clock" also, 1,73V: http://ceemic.pri.ee/45nm/5242mhz_1.73v.jpg (don't look the time)

Also I noticed that I can't set manually "MCH GTL Ref Voltage" and "(G)MCH Clock Skew Control"
Btw, if someone didn't know. When You have some bad settings for OC and PC won't turn on, hold down INS while pressing Power ON ;)
Now I tried FSB with OCZ ram.
Booted 6x636FSB :D

Vnb: ~1,44V
Vfsb: ~1,49V
CPU Vpll: 1,60V
core0/1 GTL: 0,67/0,67
MCH GTL: Auto
you are getting great results and you are doing it on that 1283??
help, plzz...
affter i update bios, i can't get FSB >350 with ratio 1:1 T_T (it's very good before, with any ram T_T)
is there a reason that my pci slots do not detect anything?
I have tried everything from wif card, to soundcard and they all get power but are not detected, is there an option in the bios?
I had to enabnle a setting in the bios got it.
Hi there, not really a big poster here, mostly on Benchtec UK. I bought one of these boards the other day, and was delighted with it. Stuck it onto my phase unit and the two caps to the right of the socket ( they are on their own ) promptly blew up and killed my E8600. Not happy.
Anyway, my point is, am i better to pursue an RMA request through Biostar directly? Or will i be better going through my E-tailer ( a little known shop called Envizage.com (UK Based))?
