I still need to OC my i7... Yes, it is still stock after all this time. Yes, I know that is a horrible thing. No, I haven't really had much time to mess with it.
That, and also even after changing the thermal paste to the good stuff, it is still hitting 60C at stock speeds on a Scythe Mugen II so I really wonder how much I can overclock without getting too hot :shrug:

Temperature ranges on a Nehalem are quite different from earlier Intel CPUs - I'd say 75C crunching is ok, so you do have some headroom. I have run several i7's at over 80C for years, which most people would be uncomfortable with - it's no problem for the CPUs though, unless you want them to survive 10+ years ;)
