Quite interesting review of CZ 35mm f1.4 ..
If you dont want to read, then theres couple of facts. Its not better than 35mm f2 (unless you NEED that f1.4) .. and its probably not better than Samyang 35mm f1.4. Which is really bit sad. At least it has bit of Zeiss-ish rendering (not much of it though). Zeiss has some very good lens, but seems to me, that new ones are not that good and they are bit loosing its character (though compared to old "true" Zeiss they dont have any character :D).
Bit chin Elisha.

yeah i had read a few articles last night about it not being as good as the f/2 whic instantly made me not want it.
but i just dont see myself using it, too wide for what i do.
i am considering the 85mm or 100mm
the 100mm being the better of the two.
everytime i view the thread over at PoTN for that 100mm Planar T i just get all woozy from the insane detail this lens captures.
Wow, nice one Beep.
@Anlupa , I like that shot a lot, nice colors and great composition.
And welcome, look forward to seeing more from you.
Forgot about this place. lol

Camera: Canon 7D
ISO: ISO-100
Shutter: 1/3200
Aperture: f2
Lens: Carl Zeiss Distagon 35mm f2
a wonderful spectacle of colour
Good looking shots guys, its good to see some new folks in the thread.
Camera: Nikon D5100
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/4000
Aperture: f/22
Focal Length: 300mm, 35mm equiv 450mm
Lens: Nikkor 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G ED, manual focus
Shot at 4:36 in the evening, large blob is the sun. For some reason this lens wants to focus PAST infinity, it doesnt make much sense. Everything just becomes blurry, even things almost out of sight...

I believe this is what people see when they "almost" die ^ ; )
lol, it sure was a pain to get the sun in the frame and focus while being blinded...
It is a really stupid idea to look directly into the sun without a solar filter :p ...in the future I want to get a solar filter and a 2x teleconverter (Bower has some cheap ones) and take some pictures of the suns surface.
original shot, not as interesting:

EDIT:
Worked on the image some more, got quite a few more stars to show

Thanks Weevil, I am trying to get back to the basics.
I was trying to make bad images good with editing so I am trying to put up pics as they come out of the camera. I am doing just a little bit of editing and so far I am really happy with how the last few trips have come out.
