Cheap 50mm are usually crap (modern ones, not cheap old ones, thats different), ppl liked it cause it was cheap. I think that both Canon and Nikon 50mm f1.8 have tragic bokeh in most scenarios. Not worth it. 50mm f/1.8G is out, though it will be probably bit harder do get. But as he owns APS-C, 35mm will be probably better choice.Quote:
