So far 3800+ OEM($383) and 4000+ OEM ($549) Venice pre orders are up on "first come first serve basis" shipping on 4-22.

hrmm 5/6 huh. it will be a slap in the face for monarch if these other smaller etailers get the Venice or San Diego cores earlier like the 18th. but now i'm starting to think that the 18th is when distributors get the processors. after that, they'll sort it out and distribute to etailers. so the 5/6 seems like a more exact date. i hate to wait, but oh well.
EDIT: yikes, didn't realize it's OEM. guess i got too excited. need to cancel this pre-order now. i should know better than to buy oem. i wonder why monarch is not getting retail PIB, hrmm.
Just order 4000+ $555 shipped on April 22nd. 3700+ with 1MB is tempting, but I can't wait any longer and 1.35V on 4000+ is tempting.

No matter, their price for 3700+ San Diego OEM is $329 and I paid $339 or so at Sparco for the retail box and they are claiming 4/18. Whether 4/18 is true or not, we will see on Monday. Either way, it costs an additional $15 to add a 3-year warranty to their OEM 3700+ San Diego.
I'm thinking I might place a preorder anyways on Monarch, and if Sparco ships to me on 4/18 just cancel it.
edit: BTW, Monarch has the specs wrong on the 3700+ San Diego at the bottom of the page. :)
I'm in the same situation bro. i pre-ordered from sparco this morning for a 3200+ Venice and now monarch is doing pre-order. i also pre-ordered at monarch, but didn't realize it's oem. i emailed monarch and they told me the retail processors will show up on the list to pre-order soon. i hoping sparco will get their shipment on monday so i can cancel my monarch pre-order. i think monarch is trying to be on the safe side by stating 5/6. that way if they get it early, they'll ship the orders out. i wonder if their retail 3200+ will be around the same price as the one from sparco.Quote:

the egg will be a late comer to this Venice/Diego party. I think etailers like monarch and sparco will try to cash in on this latest craze. a few members in this forum pre-ordered from sparco, myself included. i think it's safe to order from them. it also heps that they're in california and from the database, 3300 processors are coming to distributors there. i hope to have a 3200+ venice in my hands next thur. or friday :).

Wow can you guys tell I'm a little excited now?
So, obviously the 3200+,3500+ and 3800+ are Venice and we're fairly confident the 4000+ is Diego, but what is the 3700+?!?!?! It's a Diego I'd assume, but why would it have a lower rating than the 3800+... unless the clock is really lowered down or something.
3700 sandy is clocked at 2.2 and 3800 venice is clocked at 2.4Quote:

Also I don't if you guys noticed but the eta on sandy is april 22 and venice is May 6? WTF, it should be the other way around.
I checked on the 3500+ and Sparco have 4 different version, what the heck are ADA3500BNBOX, ADA3500DEP4AS, and ADA3500DAA4BP?!?!?!? :lol2:
i'm glad to see members are helping out the little guys like sparco. monarch is alright, but they seem to give me the run around. the more we order from sparco the better our chances are of getting venice. i'm not endorsing sparco by no means. btw, i've been emailing a rep at sparco. he told me that ingram micro(big AMD distributor) is right next door to them. he said that as soon as they get cpus from ingram, they'll ship it out right away. whether he's bsing or not, he made me feel a bit better knowing i'm in line to get the first batch of processors.

Also, $199 for the oem 3200+ venice on Monarch ain't too much of a good deal as you can get the retail version on sparco for a buck more.
