So how do I get 1.4V using offset? or do I have to use a fixed voltage ?
You can get 1.4v with offset, its not really any different than from using fixed vcore... I personally use fixed vcore though just because my system runs BOINC so the CPU is always at full load anyway.
So I need to increase the voltage offset to 0.06 then ? (1.4-1.336). And would that be -.06 or +.06 ?

First find the required Vcore using fixed voltage method. Once you decide on a Vcore to settle down at, you can set it via offset mode.
OK, makes sense. And then the offset would be negative (i.e. -.05 or -0.06) depending on how I make out with the fixed voltage?

OK thanks, strange how I have it at -0.03 all this time and overclocking it to 4.8 (albeit with some BSOD).
Usually above 4.5ghz you must set INTERNAL PLL OVERVOLTAGE - ENABLED.
Also memory above 1600 you could set 1.077v or 1.100v for stabiliy.
Aslo SPREAD SPECTRUM ENABLED.
And LLC best is to set 1 not 4.
This is getting complicated, would love some screenshots where someone has successfully run 4.8 or 4.9. I had it running at this level for a very long time but was getting BSOD every once in a while so backed off to 4.6 now.
OK back to trying to push this chip. I have set changed from Offset to Fixed Voltage @1.38, power savings mode disabled. CPU ratio Setting, max Ratio 49. I am running Prime95 and core speed on CPUZ is 4889 but Core Votage is showing only 1.28V....why?
And just to add to that I have now tried Offset and +0.03 and my voltage in CPUZ is now 1.320 or 1.328 while running P95 on custom using 90% of available ram. So far no BSOD but only running a very short time. Temps are up to 73C.
OK, I think I am getting somewhere. I had LLC at Level 4 and now moved it to Level 2 and my voltages are going up where I expected them at 1.400 under full load with P95.
Here are my final results. Overclock to 4.9 with Offset mode at -0.01. Voltage goes up to 1.36 with P95 on Custom and set to run at 90% of available ram. Ran for a few hours with no issues, temps topped out at 89 degrees. For running FSX which is the main program on this computer I can run with voltages average at 1.32 and temperatures in the 60's. So I am happy, not sure if I have a "golden chip" or not but seems like good results.
One, hopefully final, update. Was having a freezing issue with zero load and reading advice on another forum made some slight changes. Moved offset to -.005 and disabled all of the C-States with exception of Enhanced Halt State (C1E): Enabled
CPU C3 State Support: Disabled
CPU C6 State Support: Disabled
Package C State Support: Disabled
Testing now to see if this problem is still an issue. Running prime 95 with no errors and temps below 90.

I`m on safe mode right now after change the cpu cooler.
I was thinking that was a damage cpu or memory but i`m running prime and so far so good.
2 options now. PSU but i only add 1 120 fan or...
The mounting CPU fan was not what suppose to be. So i change it just a litlte. The screws that suppose to be above the MB i did put over it. The thing just dont fit.
Also could be cables... i`m on it but without time to play.
Thinking about format but for sure is a hardware failure.

Everything back to normal. Unknow source problem :)
Small 4.0 OC to boinc 24;7 vcore 1.24 on bios. It droped to 1.136 but still stable, Prime and Boinc.

I guess not too many look at this thread anymore. Anyway I ended up enabling PLL Overvoltage and reducing the offset to 0.035. Looks like this worked and I have not had an idle freeze since last night.
Idle freezing usually means core voltage is dropping too low when idle.
where is ERP in BIOS, can't find it.
