if conductive ink doesnt work for you.. you got to resort to soldering by using solder/lead/wire to bridge
use the iron and solder per my above post (post#647)
its a good way to learn soldering/get better @ your soldering skills.. if you get the hang on how to paint with solder your soldering is coming of age
Hi NapalmV5
It's not my 1st time vmodding (conductive ink, solder, pencil, whatever)
Done a lot of those since Riva TNT :D, i've lost the number
Right now it's bridged 1,2,3,4,5,11
If i bridge 1,2,3,4,11,12
If i bridge 1,2,3,4,5,11,12
Always the same result, 1.2v load
I even bridged the "factory" one's.
I didn't read the default gpu/vdimm default, any idea ?
edit:
I've re-read the initial post and you can see that Demo had the exact same issue voltmodding a "vanilla" model

So i did 1/2/3/4/11/12 , now im only getting 1.20 vGPU and 2.11 vMEM. this is a vanilla Palit GTX285,so i think this mod is a no go for me.

As posted earlier my default vGPU is @ 1.12 - 1.13 , a bit far from the 1.16 default.
I bridged #2 only and im now getting 1.19v , still a little far from the 1.23 stated my vMEM reads 2.10 though at stock though.
so 1/2/3/4/5/11 is 1.26 vGPU, while 1/2/3/4/11/12 is 1.26vGPU + 2.15vmem right?

Temps did rise, but its not hitting 90c or 100% fan speed when gaming.
The mod gave me 1.20v/2.11v , my defaults are at 1.14/2.10 and i didnt get any better gains with the added volts so i just undid the mod, a bit far from the 1.26v/2.15v expected.
Any idea's why my card comes with lower volts?

My voltages seems to fixed at 1.13-1.14 when my clocks kick into 3d, this is regardless of the application running may it be Ati tool/furmark/3dmark06/vantage/warhead/DoW2/warcraft 3. Its also been stated that defaults are 1.16v and not 1.14.
With the mod i still get the same fixed voltage 1.19-1.20 ( rarely drops to 1.19 ) and 2.11v , does not change with the said applications/benches above.

1/2/3/4/11/12 as stated by nalpamv5 that gives 1.26v/2.15v , my def voltage under load is 1.13-1.14 in all tested games/bench. bridging 2 bumped me up to 1.18-1.19 , bridging 4+12 gave me 1.20 and 2.11
Vanilla 285, Palit brand.
Read through page 1 to 9 and it seems that im the only user that has a lower default VID and im also getting a lower volts from this mod.
EDIT:
Tried 1/2/3/4/5/11 now and i get the same 1.20vGPU and no increase on the vMEM (as expected ) no real gains on the core speed, any last tips before i remove this mod ?
post #376 (tested 2 different vanilla's in this case)

Asked my other friends with a GTX285 vanilla, Palit and Inno3d both cards also came with a 1.13-1.14 stock voltage, so 1.15-1.16 may not be the reference voltage. I also pointed them to this thread and they got the same results i did. 1.20vGPU / 2.11 vMEM.
EDIT:
Our cards also idle at 1.03vGPU and 2.08vMEM
and Chispy for example tried in a vanilla and could achive 1.26v

Finally , i did the mod on my vanilla eVGA GTX 285 on stock cooling , bridge 1,2,3,4,11,12 = 1.26v .
Results running 3DMark03(Dont mind the score i was using one of my spare rigs to test the card with a P4 )
100% Stable playing FarCry2 for 3 hours at this clocks 783/1728/1404Mhz too.
Weird at least no ????
