Question for you..
Have you by chance ever taken a full load power measurement for your MM comp?
Curious if the Corsair 1000 has been Ok with 3x 285 SLI, i7, 3x pumps, etc.
I'm spec'ing out a similar build and was going to go with one of the various CWT 1200W units, but the Corsair is also a CWT based unit and has slightly nicer aesthetics and exterior build finish than some of the 1200W ones.

All I can tell you is I haven't had any power issues. The system has been on for months 24/7, crunching at 100%CPU load. My gaming is at 2560x1600 with everything pretty well maxed out - no issues after hours of FO3. No problems running bench tests / OCCT / etc. I have a Killawatt meter, but haven't hooked it up.Quote:

Those GPU Water blocks are going to be a pain to clean (flushing alone does not do it). I have to take them apart - and getting the o-rings back in is a PITA. Given I have 3 of them, I'm not looking forward to it.

There is definitely some build-up from the dye in the block - but some of the residue is also (I'm pretty sure) caused by some loose tissue bits leftover from my radiator painting escapade. All in all - no where near as bad as others have seen.
Still - the moral of the story is - use colored coolants only if you are willing to bear the pain of cleaning components regularly, and monitor closely for any flow/performance hits (which I never saw).
The Black Box will live again - just haven't decided what form it will take. And, I, ummm, have another project or two I should be getting back to.

you've got me wondering about my GTZ right now.. ive had Acid Green F1 in it for 7 months now...

No problem cleaning the reservoirs and GTZ block. The GPU blocks are a whole different story - the rinse reasonably clean, but really have to take them apart to get all the staining out - and it's a major PITA to get the o-rings in correctly. The easy way out is just to use them with red coolant again ...
back from the dead? Only one month. You can't even call that a coma :P.

Sounds to me like you have more projects in progress than you have time to keep up with.
The more times I see gunk from Feser One, Primochill, etc., the more I am convinced that I am going to stick with plain distilled even though their color looks nice.

Yep - I have tried all of the above methods for putting the o-rings back in, and also tried tightening one screw at a time and gently poking the o-ring back in place with a toothpick. I can get it back in - it's just not my favorite thing to do.
have you tried a bit of vasloline to hold them in place?...it works well and can easily be cleaned from the outsides with just warm water and soap...just a couple dabs will hold them in place
