Kind of defeats the purpose of having a fuse doesn't it? Not the Bowman way. :DQuote:

i have a supply coming from radio shack online i hope to have them asap.
thanks for the offer.:D
On a IC7-G I got a 4C difference between the microcool northpole and the swiftech mcx159-p. Temperature taken at the same exact spot and system at full load. I bought both of them at sidewinders, but i had to mod an attachment for the microcool. They are working on an attachment for it in Italy right now if you want to wait. But based on my experience the swiftech is a superior product (it is the one running the northbridge 4c cooler).

Whoooaa!! That is awesome...TheDude must be liking his "baby" now!....:DQuote:

but check out this review on the swiftech, you will notice the microcool beats it out just very slightly at no load and is even at a load.

I saw that review but when I can I usually do my own test. In this case i was using a p4 not a amd and I got a 4c difference at full load (northbridge is quite hot on those 875p motherboard and the temp went down to 51c with the swiftec from 55c with the northpole). temp probe was in both case on the opposite side of the cpu, at the exact same spot. The system was running 2 folding@home with a 100%cpu usage (physical and logical p4). Since then I got it down to 48c with a 120mm panaflo blowing directly in the gap between the ram and the northbridge (@ a 35o angle). I don't think i will go back to the northpole anytime soon. Don't get me wrong, it is a cool product but based on my numbers the swiftech is better. i will get their canterwood mounting when it comes out in the US, just to see what they did (they are not using the hooks). I will post new numbers at that time, if there is any difference.

PS: cool stuff you are doing with those prometeia and your designs. Any chance you'll try to push a vapo to some new extreme? My SE goes down to -37.5c idle, but goes up to -28c at load. It is filled with hp81, not 404a and has been quite good for the past month or so since it was filled with HP81 (402b). The compressor goes up to 47c. I wanted to go with hp80 but i couldn't find any.
I know people will ask so here is some info about hp81(sorry if it doesn't come out formatted correctly):

Finally got in here to have a peep....wow! looking good! I really like the look of that block and hold down too! I been trying to OC this 3.2 on crappy stock air HS/F that came with a 2.4c. Just going to put it away until my baby comes home to Daddy. :D
Very nice work bro. ;)
well dale i was suprised late last night..the ASUS hit 4.33g before i went to bed.but i hate there bios.....:(
i think it will run 3d at 4200mhz but i may adjust the freon charge a little. right now the evap is showing -39c loaded 4.3g 1.8v thats a ton of heat. in bios it shows -29 to -30c.
the p4 board is so much easier to mount a evap to,i was happy about that.
AWESOME! :D :D :D :D :D
well it is colored 3m tape.i purchaced it with the loom i got from the loom store.alot easer than heat shrink.Quote:

BTW IM jeloius :)
i have heat shrink at work large enough but it you have to go back and work on it...$5 gone.thats what a piece of heat shrink normally cost that large.
While browsing around the local hardware store
the other day I picked up some White and some
Red tape.
They also had Green and Blue and Orange.
Not as wide as regular Black tape but almost.
Electritions use it to band certain wires when
a bundle of wires are pulled thru conduit etc.
Nice results Bowman1964. I always have a little look thru these parts...:toast:Quote:

It really makes me wonder though. Like what sort of readings your modified unit would exhibit with a Barton running over the 3Ghz threshold and say 2.06 - 2.1v?
guys i know i havent been posting alot, been busy.
but i am working on a a64 evap,and a nforce3 chipset cooler
the nforce 3 is a big pain.because of the location of the chipset there is no room at all for a cooler.
i am machining a water cooled pelt for the chipset.small low profile unit.
Look what got delivered by UPS late yesterday! That's what I call proper packaging! :D
Mine looked exactly like that. Bowman does NOTHING half-assed. You can't help but admire that. :D
That's so true!....I consider myself lucky, inthat, Bowman modded mine! :D :worship:Quote:

Well i learned the hard way.
shipping with ups you better package it so as a tank wouldnt hurt it.sure it takes me 30 minutes to package it up,but thats nothing compaired to having it get damaged in shipping.
Hobocrow i am glad it arived in one piece...thanks for letting me know. :D
No problem, Bud! Like I detailed to you in my email....I watched the pkg get flipped off the hand truck while coming down my driveway... :eek:Quote:
