Yeap, I've tried both the power-hungry 8800GTS with its additional 6-pin cable, as well as a low-end Ati X600 with a passive cooler and no aditional power connectors.
Board is back on the table, out of the case, eliminating short circuit scenarios.
Also, the way I clear CMOS is the following:
1) Switch off the PSU
2) Unplug the power cord
3) Press the power button once to drain the flea power
4) Move the "EZ clear CMOS" button to the "clear" position (I also used the onboard jumper)
5) Remove the battery
6) Wait 5-10 mins (1 cigarette :) )
7) Reverse the steps before powering on (battery -> jumper -> power cable -> PSU switch)
I'm not doing anything wrong, right?
