Just tested 200REF 330fsb 533mode against the AW9Dmax and this badaxe2 will run the config with a LOT less voltage than the ABIT needs.
Performance was identical with the exception here my board will run this setup with near default voltages and the ABIT needed 2V on the MCH :eek:
Badaxe2 is pretty damn slick ;)

So if you're trying to do 3.6 on an e6600 then you've got the fsb set to 400. So the memory should be running at its rated speed then, cool. I had to raise the fsb and mch voltages. Try 1.4 and 1.6 volts respectively. You shouldn't need that much but see if its stable there, then back them down again.Quote:

1:1 divider at 400FSb and 266 ref seems to be ok
2395 sucks. After I updated, it rebooted then gave me the "No Memory" beep code. I had to take out one stick, move the jumper to configure mode, and change all of my settings to default (no overclock). I havent tried yet but I have a bad feeling its not going to let me OC using my same settings as before the update.

Ok I was able to use my same settings and keep it stable during a 15 minute stress test. I then shut the test down and thought everything was fine. After about three minutes of doing nothing I got a blue screen of death. I think with 2395, Intel went back to their "anti-overclocking" attitude and implemented something else they didnt mention in the changes log. :slapass:
Is there any way to get the older bios's??? The Intel site just lists the latest one.. Or is there any way somone could post em here???
(edit) Opps, my bad, found em on the Intel previously released download site......
This isn't due to an anti overclocking stance, from what I understand, these are tweaks done to the 1066 strap (266 ref freq) to make it perform better at sub-400FSB. You should be able to reach above 400 if you move to the 1333 strap (333 ref freq).Quote:

Guys if you do use the 2395 BIOS watch your memory freq. I was playing around with various FSBs and more than a few times it changed my freq to 800 when I manipulated my FSB. 800 is my memory's default. Naturally, that would cause me to fail my OC.

I have been doing some messing around with BX2 at work those past few days and it's looking pretty decent, I must say... Obviously, it's not the best match for E6300 (sorry, I was a bit lazy and did not change CPUs, but I will switch to X6800 later) but it's a cool mobo to fool around with :)

Just a small note - don't mind a disrepancy in dual32M times at 435FSB (1067) and 453FSB (1333). I noticed that lowering vnb to 1.40v (instead of 1.50v) fixed it, but I forgot to transfer those new screenshots and don't have them handy at this moment.
I plan to check out 800 strap at 346FSB and see how that fares as well...

seeing that you are testing alot of these C2D mobos..what is your preference for stable, good overclocker with fsb 400-450....my preference is a board that is stable, and requires as little voltage to NB and cpu(I realize all cpus requirements on OC are different but there is no doubt some mobo need more vcore for the same OCed speed) to be stable
