e6300 and ocz ddr2800
i'll try higher FSB in a bit

Just swapped out my E6300 and AB9 for an E6600 & AW9D-Max. Currently @ 3.6 (400 x 9 [1:1]) 1.45v. Is this any good for an E6600? I can't get this thing to boot any FSB higher than 400 even when dropping the multi. Something blatant on the AW9D that I need to change to help out with the FSB speeds, what's a safe voltage for the MCH & PCIe? Thx in advance.
Alright here are my new 24/7 settings with the E6600....
3.7ghz @ 1.55vcore (412FSB 1:1 @ 4-4-4-12)
http://upload.overclock3d.net/get.php?id=1218&view=1
^ First shot taken before end of test to prove clocks @ which test was run at.
http://upload.overclock3d.net/get.php?id=1219&view=1
^ And the completion, yay!
I can get it to run fine @ 3.8ghz same voltage but it gives me an error about half way through a 32mb SPi test :( More voltage fixes it but I'd like to stick within some half decent guidelines for aircooling.
(sorry for the unresized pix :bananal:)
I tested a few e6600 on watercooling results can be seen here.(it`s not in english, but u can see the screenies and CPU table)
Oldscarface - E6600 Retail @ 4248 MHZ - 1M Superpi (1,67 bios, 1,6 real) - Chilled Air - Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi (Unmodded) - Corsair Twin2X 2x 512 MB PC6400C5 rev. 1.1 @ 944 MHZ (4-3-3-3-10) - Bios 0614
E6300 and code is ---> FPO#: L628A800 <--- What can i wait ?
I have AsRock Dual 775 VSTA so i cant test how this goes.
Anyone been able to test out a week 32 yet? My local has the L632A
I had L632A120 linky...Quote:

my creation, firstime posthing here, so here goes. i'm still tweaking ram subtimings as there is a little headroom still there i think.
I'm testing an E6700 ES now on a P5W-DH, strange thing is:
When I put down multi to 9x, and set 400x9 in bios. All programs (coretemp, windows system properties, orthos etc.) show 444x9 = 4000mhz :S
CPU-Z is the only app that does show 400x9, is this a familiar problem for anyone?
nice OC hadron!:toast:Quote:

with two folding clients i'm running at arround 58C and 48C idle. with two orthos running it gets 65C or so. thats with big typhoon and as5. it's not actually the "coolest" thing but is very stable so far. will mount another 12cm chasis fan blowing on those ribs one of these days, hoping for degree drop in temp, with anything more i'll be very pleased, since i allready got a big 25cm chasis fan on the side blowing in. it's nice but would still like few mhz more as my ram can take it even at those timings, so will see what new fan will be capable of :p:

Here's what I have managed with my e6600 on phase :)

Working on 4500Mhz @ SPI 32M.
More Vcore is needed, I am limited to a Vdrooped Vcore of 1.61V under load :(

any info on this stepping???
was only 1.42 for 3.6ghz onna MSI 975 board.
i will be running it onna P5WDG2-WS Professional ...should i be able to expect better results with the asus board over the MSI ( he was stuck getting it higher on that msi board)
Attachment 52738
While I've gotten the system to boot at a 500Mhz FSB, Windows refuses to load to the desktop above 477. I think that I'm being limited by my memory (Patriot DDR2 667).
Cooling is provided by a Big Typhoon VX with 3 day old AS5. Temps dropped by 17-20C over the stock Intel HSF.
anyone else hear of a e6400 topping out at 2.765ghz on water? having serious problems getting any higher with my p5b-d.
What mobo ya runnin' bankie?
