EDIT: Knut, is there a database (personal or public) of your results with the chips in the PM? I'm still trying to find a few of them :(
Bump!
Also, do you have any Socket A chips? :D
I don't have any socket a chips for sale, i barely have ANY.:p:
If you give me a list of the chips you want to know more about, et me know and I'll see what I can remember. I don't have a database of results, unfortunately. But it wouldn't be a bad idea, perhaps I'll start doing that from now on;) Have you found any interesting chips yet btw?
There are just a few in your list that I can't find, I'll PM you today and hopefully you can enlighten me :)
New package from the states:D This tme I got a 3200+ Winchester, a really old one, ABBDD 0415UPAW, an X2 5000+ for socket 939, an AM2 2.4ghz ES with ALOT of bent pins and a phenom 9900 ES:p:
Yeah news flash, socket 939 is old.....surely the cpu isn't older than the 939 platform? What an odd thing to say, lol
I love straightening bent pins, it's my hobby....give it here ;)
The phenom I'd forget about as far as performance goes.....the 3200+ winny will probably match it  but since clockspeeds are merely your goal I'll look back and check your results....best of luck.
For now I'll try everything on air;) So no sick scores, but it's nice to see if everything works.
I just tried some AM2 stuff... conclusion so far: my x2 4800+ sucks, but perhaps good enough for WR since it's only 3.4GHz. Benchstable at 3.06Ghz with 1.48v on air, but not Orthos stable for 5 seconds:p:
My FX62 was pretty sweet, could run a few benches at 3.2ghz and 1.44v. Had to clock it a bit down for wprime1024m, though, I think the heat got it... the temps went quite high, 60 load with 1.44v:p: I have a good feeling about this one as well.
My 5400+ was bad for an F3 windsor, but it's a CCBVF-stepping, which are not known to be great OC'ers anyway. Got some sweet scores anyway, beat the HWBot record in pi 1m with .01s:p: Should be an easy WR once I get it on dice, or perhaps even on water.
The le1640 i tested was allright, but nothing more than that. Benchstable at 3570 @ 1.48v if my memory is correct. I also tried the Phenom ES, and it ran orthos at 3ghz/1.31v - which is pretty OK for a B2. However, I think this BIOS hates this chip, as it was impossible to change anything except voltages and multi, or it wouldn't post. I'll try more on it later when i visit a friend who has some SB750 boards;)
I'll see if i have the time to try the 939 stuff tomorrow:D Going to Hannover on Wednesday so I need to make sure I'm ready to go before I start benching;)
PS: no suicides this time, my board freezes with aod so I have to boot at every clock I want to validate...
Hey Knut, PM incoming today, I've been in hospital all week :(
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=485116 btw, I bet you never saw that one before:p:
Edit: Another rarity: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=485120
Thats funny which cpus u got in the past and now ;)
There are so many chips that 99% of the people didnt know that there is such a chip and you found it every week :D
The stepping of that 3200+ winchester is very unknown for me, ABBDD never heard.
I know all about the 5000+, I've tried to buy it remember ;)
I'll keep searching for the next week, the fewer chips you have to test the easier for all of us :)Quote:

haha our prime-list... worked a lot on that one... spent lot of money to get on the top on it. :D

never had much luck with my x2 939 chips (never even got close to 3.0ghz)
but it is one of the mobo's i have kept for the longest period of time.. (just changed cpu and gfx card a couple of times)
still it is nice to see the results others get :)
btw: knut when you'll crack this wr? http://www.ripping.org/database.php?cpuid=922 :D
Haha, I saw this chip on ebay I think. If it's that one, it's a CABGE 0602.:p: However, I'm quite surprised I don't have a result as I'm 99% sure I was the one who requested this one to be added, I also have a validation at 2847mhz or so on HWBot. But who cares, I'll dice these chips when I have the time:p: Then i get my record back. Silly me who didn't even try to max it out on air or water or whatever i used back then, I ran benches at like 20-30mhz lower lol.
I have this one in my sights soon, taking my BH 0601 chip and RD 580 out of retirement ;)
http://www.ripping.org/database.php?cpuid=42
Gianni & stunned, will you ever bench socket 939 (or Am2) again?;)
Is this an alright AM2 chip?
ADA3500IAA4CN
LEBAF 0635AAG
X903512I60310
?
I've never heard of anything like it but it must suck cause it's Chinese
BA = hard coldbug. I think I tried a LEBAF once, and it sucked. Was a 754 sempron, though.
But I must add that there are no REALLY good 3500+'s AFAIK, so maybe you can get a respectable score compared to other of the same kind. And i bet you won't pay many for it;)
I have a 3500+ winny here which does 3216 on chilled air in a dfi ultra-d :)
Maybe under phase it would do a wr.
2seconds and I'll tell you.
edit...
ok here it is.

@KELL5: We have the same week, but different "ending", I have no K, either M or A (2nd last letter). Maybe the 4th last letter is different, too, but i don't remember. Although, UPAW or UPMW sounds a bit familiar when I think of that one. Still, my memory isn't perfect - this record was made 14 months ago, and i have like 250 K8 CPUs, hard to tell one from another sometimes:p:
@chew*: Even Manchesters are a bit coldbugged at 10 multi - you need 370HTT to break 3.7Ghz. I guess -25c is the coldest you can go, unless you have some really nice, cold-loving chip;)
Hmmmm interesting. You don't happen to have any crappy clocking 3800+'s lying around do you? I'll swap ya ;) You can have this 3500+ for your collection :)
I run this 3500+ in my lappy now so it never gets to stretch it's legs :( I swapped out the low wattage 3200+ which came with the lappy for the extra 200mhz stock speed just to give my lappy a bit of a boost.
loves cold, couldnt get it cold enough but the board hated the ram I had hot or cold. Was -60 then I cranked up the volts to 1.65 IIrc and it pulled temps down hard ( ghetto DI tube ) then it didn't want to hear it after that. This wasn't suicide either at the time it was WR already so I left some room for it to be broken again as I was on a board no one had at the time ( trying to be fair ), I was chatting on XS at that speed :D
LDBHE 0601 Batch under 30 IIRC. Cold boots at -60 and lower 3.0 24/7 chip on water low volts, my other LDBHE 0541 was kinda cruddy only 3.0 phase 24/7 (wife killed it )
http://members.cox.net/wmdieselmc26/x2%203800%20WR.jpg
hey chew, what's that ATi system manager app you have there? Does that suppport RD480/580 chipset at all? I've been scouting for some way to OC my lappy but any PLL I try just locks-up :(
I don't have any AMD chips right now but I just wanted to post in this epic thread. Keep it up guys!
Add to that it's Chinese :D
Who cares how good it is overall, it's much more fun to play in classes, i.e. 3500+ vs 3500+ :)
I just got the chip for free but I don't really feel like takin my WR 6000+ out of my DFI 590 as I have it insulated so well with electrical tape right up to te IHS :(
OSA185DAA6CD
CCDDE 0613RPNW
Should I grab it?
I think I scored it for $35 :D
How about
ADA3200AEP4AX
CBAEC 0430UPMW
1017224H40470
?
It's socket 754 :)
Like one of my benchfriends says when he sees one: "Action Extreme".:D It's ironic, though, these chips are the 130nm version of the BG chips...;) Really awful - at least from my experience.
I thought I had a 3200+ nc 754, but I can't see it listed on HWBot. Funny. That was an AAAPC, though. Not sure it's WR material anyway:p:
my max on my old opty 165 is still 3.268mhz.. no matter what I try... it cold bugs at positive temps... ccbbe 0610dpmw
anyway.. yesterday I was checking some old stuff to buy... wanted to prove myself i could clock nicelly some k8 chips...
but then I found this lil 3500+
Well.. check this.. (box cooling)
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/3069/3200ps5.jpg
should i give this one a try??
thx
Looks pretty sweet. What temps do you get?;) And what stepping?:)
I'd give that one a shot if I were you. Maybe you can kick gianni's chip down to 2nd place;)
http://ripping.org/database.php?cpuid=26
If you're lucky with the coldbug you may even get my record:p:
The seller won't get in touch with me:mad:
I spotted an FX55 Claw that's even older than that AAA2C Stunned sold me (his was 0435UPAW, the "New" one is AAA2C 0433RPAW). I wonder if it's worth a shot..?
Maybe, even if only for keepsakes :D
I'm still desperately trying to get in touch with the seller of the Opty 185, I need it for this weekend. We're having an overclocking event with probably 80+ liters of LN2, 30kg DI, Phenom 2s, LN2'd GTX280s, 4870x2s, E8600s, i7s and an 8GHz duel using Cedar Mills.
I think I just the oldest A-XP I've ever seen.

Yeah gianni that was our day !!!
Its so sad that the time canīt come back :( That was our time for a long time....
But AM2 is now and that is also fun --> I still hold the X2 7750 world record in superpi 1M... with less than 100 Mhz and with single stage only ;)
I still can't get that wonderful Opty 180 :(
Bump :)
OSA185DAA6CD

for $30. The seller has disappeared. Knut I must PM you regarding chips, money became tight because I ended up engaged :D But I'm starting to save again :)
Hunting your 6400+ score, gianni;)
(have ALL the K8 dudes "retired"??)
Is sure seems like it :(
Financial difficulties have made my 24/7 PC socket 939 again and I'm actually happy about the downgrade from a 5.5GHz E8600 24/7 with 8GB RAM :D
Nice Scores Knut ;)
My last FX-60 died yesterday under LN2 because of brocken DIE :( The cpu was without head spreader and during installation of the ln2 pot 3 of the 4 corners broked off...
Was it good?
My FX60 is a damn beast, but it HATES -20 and below... can do 275mhz htt at that temp, but -25c and totally unstable:p: Also a victim of vcorefobia - more than 1.6v and it goes nuts, too... WIthout these problems it could do 4ghz I think:D But it doesnt want it.......
It was this CPU. Tested with Single Stage at home. Yesterday it should under LN2 but the mistake happend. Should good enough for 3.8 and more ghz.
I think i found a nice one

I didn't know why but CPU-Z max is only 3451Mhz and i didn't reach any more. The Ram's are BH-5 but i can't go any higher with the FSB because i think the CPU doesnt like an higher FSB on this Frequency and temperature. Now the X2 has done a great job and the next CPU will be a Opteron 165 or maybe a good old SD3700. ;-)
not bad. pretty nice clocks ;)
Nice one ;)
If I would I could break your score because I have here 2 DFI socket 939 and 2 very good X2 3800+ manchester....but I have no time yet to test superpi.
Don't speak^^ Do it or sell the CPU's to me.
Greets
nice bruce :D

Nice pcs :)
For the Old Step AMD (XP / Babar / XP-M & the first A64 s754/s939) , you can check my Old List of Stepping ;)
http://forum.hardware.fr/forum2.php?...0&new=0&nojs=0
Nice to see u back here on socket 939 ;)
The YBBLE couldt go nice under cascade...but the CPBW is crap...no chance to go high.
These are all venice E3 so I guess that there will not be some high scores because the best of the 3000+ are all venice E6. But give your best it could be one of the good scores.
Thanks for the link boblemagnifique :)
nice, looking forward to some great results :)
One of my 3500+ NC's did 380mhz HTT under phase... that one will ROCK on LN2 (which I may be getting soooooon...)!
Vintage bench....I like....:hehe:
@ Knut
Stepping of that 3500+ newcastle ? Sounds crazy !
CBAXC 043x something.:p:
Can't believe I don't remember the exact stepping, normally I remember such details... Perhaps 200++ K8 chips is a little too much for my brain:D
Btw, did you ever try ITE SG when you ran the clawhammers on LN2? What temps did you see? I tried one on Friday, and it seemed to bug at 126 in ITE (so I guess -130c on that sensor). Too little insulation, so sucky clocks - just 3769MHz (not the one I bought from you). At least something was limiting my efforts, my FX55 which I got to 3850 on dice did 3887 on LN2, and on dice temps only 3650 or something.
I ever used ITE SG and it worked fine. No conflicts. But with the newer cpus like x2 7750 or x3 8750 it showed only up to -80c. This is also shown in the BIOS but the temps are much lower than taht.
Very old clawhammer. But its no es cpu by the way like the fx-55 clawhammer from mine.
If you're referring to the one I tested, it's indeed the same type of chip. AAAXC 0421SPAW (did 3.5g suicide on dice). The woman(!) I bought it from got it from her husband/boyfriend who worked for AMD:p:
Do you remember what your FX53 (mine now:clap:) did on dryice (or SS)? Just for the sake of comparing the two:p: I feel it was underperforming alot on LN2... 250mhz gain from 100c lower temps doesnt sound right to me;)
With single stage the fx-55 did around 3.6 ghz i remember. it needed LN2 for some real clocks.
Just smashed the 4000+ Clawhammer WR by like 60 mhz ;) Will try more once the LN2 level is low enough for the chip to boot:p: I can still pump more voltage through it, only 1.87v now.
I think it's not the CPu itself that bugs, it's the damn sensor - both my FX53 and this 4000+ seemed to autoshutdown at 127 in ITE (perhaps it thinks the temps are 128+ or something once that barrier is broken...). I wish I cold disable it:p:
Session over... scores here:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...9&postcount=31
Check out that 3200+, Phillip:p: S.I.H.
Very very very nice work, Knut !!! ;) Seems that this cpus didnīt have some high cold bug.
Did you tweak for superpi ?
That 4000+ clawhammer record is great i had once a 4000+ that was pretty good under my single stage ( its that one on place no. 3 ) but I sold this one before testing under LN2 :( That would be one great cpu I think some better like yours ;) It was one of my fist socket 939 cpus ever ( there was no better cooling first :D )
Very good work again, Knut ;) If I see that scores I miss socket 939 :(
So come back! :D
yeah bro get back and oc that old stuff again. :D
No problem, 2 dfi boards, bh-5 kit and around 10 very good dual cores are available :D
But there is no time....i have to test some good dimms and cpus for am2+.
Booo!
Thanks for your nice words, btw;)
Trying some more stuff as we speak... 3500+ NC 2nd place is mine (was mine already, but now it's alot closer to the 1st spot):p: - but I would've got the WR if this chip didn't CB at -96c:shakes: It's idling in BIOS now at 2.08v to raise the temps so I can remove the pot. Couldn't care if it dies... 2 pins are missing, so no dual channel benching either:ROTF:
Edit: I forgot I tried that other one (the one WITHOUT CB) on wednesday, with no real success, but I still got a higher score than with this chip *blush*
Hmmm, missing pins = missing dual channel? That begins to explain my FX-55... Ever since my 3916MHz run I've lost dual channel below 7'c...
@ oj101
Did your 6000+ in your signature have a cold bug ?
Try it on a different board. My Opty 154 seemed to lose dual channel completely on my Expert (instant 3-LED beeps with 2 sticks installed), but on a DFI NF4-D it passed that point (had no video card in as it was just a QUICK test, no cooling on the CPU and held the mobo in my hand:p: - so I didn't test it 100%)
