yes its confirmed but i cant get the site to come up but yes for sure

FWIW, i just build a new system with this mobo (my old one :) ) in conjunction with an E4500 cpu.
Every boot up it gave me the microcode loading error and had to press F1 to continue.
This was with bios 1503.
I updated bios to 2302 and the problem is gone.
This is probably something everybody else knows but me but it might be usefull for anyone struggling with the same problem who's just as stupid as i am. :D
The bios appears the same and the board is running fine.
The one thing i don't understand is that i can't find the realtek wireless connection in bios, not under onboard devices, where both gigabyte lan's are.
The wireless conection works fine but why is it not in bios?
well it runs the q6600 fairly well at 3.0 the 45nm may use less power so they may run ok
Rich
The changes in the FSB and multi's in the new 45nm chips have created a difficult issue using the older and even newer mobos. To get an equivelant overclock on the new 45nm chips vs. the current 65nm chips is going to take HIGH FSB - far higher than the P5W will go.
Only the top-end new 45nm quad core with the unlocked multi will be easy to OC.
A good read...

heads up for the read thanks makes since but it dose support 45nm thats what was ask. i dont even have a quad yet so 45nm is way out there for me
Rich
Yeah, but since I have no plans to replace my mobo yet, I'm just happy it supports 45nm.
I'm interested in the Q9450 the most and I believe I won't have any problems OC'ing it to about 3.4Ghz for 24/7 usage. That will be enough for me until the next generation when I'll have to replace my mobo anyway because of the socket change.
what rev. board do you have mine is a rev. 103g
you can look right by the memory slots if can see inside you case theres 101-1o2-103 and 104g the first ones were 101g reson i ask the 104gs and 103gs overclock a lil better
Rich
cpu-z dosent read mine eather the 102g mch only goes to 1.75 where as the 103 and 104g goes to 1.85 dont know how much def. that will make as far as overclocking but it may
Rich
1.85V MCH may need more then just fan cooling. However, to give you an idea I was able to get a 400 FSB OC for a E6850 @ 3.6 to post PC8500 (although it would auto reboot during XP bootup) at 1.75V. I assume 1.85V would make it more stable but I am not sure about cooling needed. Here take a look:

The reason why I post this is because at 1.65V MCH it would not post at all at Dram Frequency of 1000 MHz! However, this 1000MHz dram frequency is not stable.
i have my mch set at 1.75 also with a small fan on it feels cool to the touch but havent tryed 1.85
Rich
I alternate my fan between optimum and performance depending on the ambient temps. Because I got a high performance fan, on performance it really screams for such a small 40mm fan! But I haven't needed to go beyond 1.65V as of yet for MCH at 3.6 (E6850), PC6400 using PC8500 ram.
i'll have to see if i'm stable at 1.65 mch
What I've found about OC'ing is that the cooler the NB the better the performance and lower the MCH voltage. I too had a E6700 OC 3.4 and only needed 1.65V for the MCH but I am using Delta FFB0412VHN 40x28mm. This fan creates 15.79 CFM @ 9500 RPM, 41.9 dBA. Although 15.79 CFM doesn't sound like much at 80mm or 120mm, at 40mm it's like a mini tornado IMO (from using my hand). This fan makes all the difference IMO.
ok seem's to be stable at 1.65 mch only run orthos for about 30 min. but so far so good i remember bumping it up try for 3.6 but i gave up thanks for the tip's
Rich
well it's 8 hr.s + stable and a few games for a while good nuff for me im happy with 3.4 for now hope to go quad after the first and try for 3.0

Does this board have any problems with running 4 sticks/4 gigs of ram? If it has, someone please point out what bios is best and what to look after.I just ordered another pair of cellshock 1000 C4s and dunno if it was the right decision.
Thanks in advance.
I had to lower my RAM from 1:1 to 3:4 (top option) otherwise I can't even change the BIOS options without pulling a stick out.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have jumped on even $60 after rebate for something I'll be waiting quite a while to make full use of...
Geez thats not what i wanted to hear. :( Is it the same with all the latest bioses?
I am running 4GB and 400FSB fine. Only 1.65 vMHC as well. My mems are only PC6400 though.
Latest bios btw.
