I had a increase in speed and lower temps when running my X2 with IHS off under my Water setup. Now i run phase it a too bigger risk. Good luck with it.;)Quote:

I heard that folding with a potentially/unstable cpu could result in corrupted data being sent into the database which messes everything up :stick:
I'm not aware of that, Mikal. An unstable rig will quickly show up as trashed work units which are rejected.
yeah dunno what it means in english but its marked as miscalculated,Quote:

3.3ghz and rising

Man you gotta tell me... wth did you do to break that 3.2ghz barrier?Quote:

when i got back home, I cleared cmos. I ended up leaving the memory timings to auto. Bumped up the chipset and ldt/fsb voltage by 0.1. It booted at 3.2ghz into windows, used clockgen to 3.3ghz. Later on I tried 3.3ghz in the bios and it booted up into windows just nicely. So maybe a little bump in the volts and clearing cmos did the trick. :woot:
I'm able to boot into windows at 3.4ghz, but core 0 craps out in prime after 5 minutes. core 1 keeps on going and going.
you'll have to tell me where you ended up putting those rear speakers :p:

As for my CPU...
2.8GHz is stable on 1.52vCore and I can't seem to get 2.85 stable. I tried up to 1.55v. I might decap it this weekend or try it on an Ultra-D instead of this expert. Smason (who had the 4200+ with same stepping) hit 3003Ghz on 1.55v (not sure which cooling yet)
i was unable to push mine pass 2.9 on my friends WC system :(Quote:

My first Dualcore arrived.
It's a LDBFE 0607 TPMW.
T Chip with a really Evil Batchnumber:666.
Stock Vcore is only 1.3v.
She is Priming now @ 275x10 with 1.35V Bios (Windows shows only 1.31v) cooled with TTBT.
I know your pain, My LDBFE 0610 UPMW was good to 2.8Ghz @1.53v on air but any higher and I couldn't get prime stable and that was with going over 1.6v. Not a bad run but would have liked at least 2.9Ghz @1.55v or so.Quote:

I can get a 3800+ or a 165 for 'free' from a shop in Holland.
With the recent good results for the 3800's would this be the way to go? I know of a few very badass 165 steppings as well though...
might as well get the 165, seem to retain value longer
Any "good" clocking chip will retain it's value ;)

A sneek look to see what happens when the Vcore is increased

You should try using your 10x multiplier. It might help you lower the needed voltage to hit certain clocks.
Well i have an LDBHE 0603 xpaw ¨T¨ I have it running at 2.6 1.43 v on bios and 1.4 on smart guardian, speedfan says 1.41. Will try more with better cooling.
Love this thread so much and too bad this is not sticky.
Bought a 3800 X2 on 5 May from a local shop. I don't suppose to got this week code by now but it is LDBHE 0601XPMW by mistake. This baby really did her job great. After one week of normal usage with default voltage @ 2700hz. I try 2900hz with 1.5v in bios and it's stable with 4 x sp2004 for 4 hours+:woot:. I thought the temp did hold my back leg. Need a nice H2O badly to go further :stick:.
I'd read through the thread and notice that a nice burning in did help the chips getting better performance. Can anyone show me the correct process to burn in this baby in details. As I tried burnk7 before and it really destroy my old opty 170 (make both core more unstable:slapass:).
Any input are appreicate:toast:
Great work stone_cold_Jimi :toast:Quote:

Recently got a LCBWE 0617 FPMW. Does anybody have an idea if it is a good stepping?
LCBWE - not a Manchester, I'd say. Toledo with half cache, I bet. Probably cold-bugged.
