Also, we have 612MHz on GPU only on 1.2V in our branch ;) 612/1850 Sparkle 7900GT :)

Wow nice mem clocks.

I haven't had a problem with the caps, but I have heard of a few people whose cards arrived with the caps loose in the box. Did yours break off?

Just completed the 1.4v mod with my XFX 7900GT

Before: Coolbits detected 540/1600
After: Coolbits detected 630/1790

Max benchmarkable with no real visable artifacts (might be there but not easily noticable):
Before: 575/1780
After: 650/1860

Temps after 1.4v mod with Maze 4 gpu block: Idle:33-34C Full Load:44-45C

I know my CPU isn't the greatest, although I had a 7300 with my X850XT and i am pretty sure this thing should be getting more than 15% higher scores.

Stock (475/1350) I was only getting 7800 with the 7900GT.

I am complaining lol. Something is seriously wrong. I know I should be getting a good 1000 points higher.

I just reran it. Clean OS, fully tweaked, all services shut down, 3.85GHz, mem @ 344 / 4-4-3-10. Still only pulled a weak 8720.

Mine XFX 7900GT Extreme gives 950 on the mem's with no mod yet.

The 1,4v pen mod also enables the mem to go higher ????!

For every other card I have vmodded, the mem would always go slighter higher even without being modded itself.

What he means is that if you vmod the votage to the gpu not only the gpu will attain a higher max. speed also the mem will go a little bit higher! :toast:

I got my eVGA 7900GT superclocked last night (default 550/1580).

I installed coolbits2 and ran the optimal overclocking autodetection and the result was 563/1694. I ran 3Dmark06 and got 45xx score, artifacts free.

Then I did the 1.4V Vmod using a conductive pen I bought from Radioshack and then I replaced the stock cooling solution with an old Artic Cooling Silencer NV 5 Rev2 that I got a year ago.

I ran the coolbits optimal overclocking autodetection again and the result was 601/1790. 3Dmark06 gave me 4700 dead-on score with this overclocking, artifacts free.

The problem is that the temperature hit 73 celcius, so I'm going to re-apply the thermal paste again and maybe flash a modified BIOS to the card with a higher fan speed for 3D mode.

seams like that EVGAs 7900GT dont score so good as the XFXs 7900GT (maybe memory timings?)
What CPU you have Timeout???

i got 4900 marks in 3dmark 2006 with XFX 7900GT extreme at 550/1630 and 5007 marks with XFX 7900GT extreme at 570/1800, stokcooler , stok volts and Opty 148@2990Mhz.

i just bought the liquid silver ink :D

one question , all that litle points on the card are ground???

u dont need pen u dont need ink u can simply solder a wire between this 2 spots just a wire or put it just there and fix it with tape doesnt matter.

i dont like that this thread gotta get messed up with some stupid questions (sry) but its for THE OVERCLOCKING RESULTS and NOT how can i do this or that....

if u still dont know what to do better u do nothing with ur card. the mods are postet everywhere around and here in this thread more than 20times.....5sites be4 so please keep it clean with SOME RESULTS!

andL64 if i have conductive ink at home i dont need to sold any wire and its easy if i want to remove the mod too , if i want to sold the pins i didnt bought the Ink , LOLOLOL

i know that i can sold a wire to conect the pin to ground or change the resistor , but the ideia of the conductive ink its precisly dont sold anything and dont use wires ;)

im just thinking whats the best thing to use to paint the d511 to ground because a brush its too big

You can use masking tape.
