Curiously, I wonder if OPB would be kind enough to try overclocking one of these NEWER sets of Cronus Micron and see if he can obtain 300s or more around the 270-280 speeds that most of us are seeing now.

So, what is the consensus so far, guys? From those that bought Cronus-Micron, we're seeing 270-285Mhz and then ozzimark's 295Mhz, right?
Maybe it's not 300Mhz "Ballistix-style", but still very nice performance, considering they are $265 :)
I'd say lower than 270-285. Probably more like 250-265 with a lot of people struggling with even stock and using 2T or getting a new motherboard (if anyone noticed people with ASUS A8N mobos seemed to have the most trouble vs us with DFIs).
Right now I think it's safe to say 265 is stable for me. If I tweaked I give myself maybe at most 280. Gonna try change BIOS's and see if that helps me any, but I'm pretty sure 300 is way out of reach of this new batch hence my reason to ask OPB to try OCing with the current batch of sticks (I think its a reasonable enough task if TeamGroup wants to stand behind their Cronus Micron sticks).
yes, Seferio is quite right, I try my set under a8n 32 SLI, that board makes my 5b-f sounds like POS
Anyone here running a Expert, I cant seem to get 270 syable for shi..
Ive followed all these pages and even OPB settings in support and none fly for me..
Maybe its a Expert bios issue?
I currently have the 12/7 official bios, could there be a better bios for these?
OPB do u run these in ur expert with the venus bios or wut?

this is stable but at 270 no good
1. use 2.7v~2.73v
2.200mhz 3.9 won't do anything

ok ill try urs now and report back at 270Quote:

I think so, old benchmarks lost from raid 0 config.
I will post the result on 7900gtx sli:)
No good for me OPB
instant errors

Iwill be no problem to test that for you:toast:
** another thought , it might be the PSU, but not sure,
right now im good at 267
anything above that errors :(
17 mhz overclock im not impressed with at all so far..
I think there must be something wrong with that
let's say lower your 12v to 12.25v; 5v goes to 5.05, 3.3v goes to 3.35v
tref set as 4708,ICL set as auto under bios as the same as dynamic counter
set bypassmax as 7x, disable the errata94 and "set auto as errata 123"(don't set disable)
Don't give it up yet.:)
if you can, put a active cooling on top of ram socket area.:)
Will try tomorrow, right now im tired of messing with it :)
I know with your help ill be up and running good before i know it..
Just that im coming from be-6 that does 254 2.5-3-2-5 and this was almost like a kick in da bawlz upgrading to this if u know what i mean..

Good night my friend.:)
I'm with you on that one, primed for 8 hours fine, but I was playing source last night and getting artifacts and crashing, nothing else is overclocked too, I'm going to try loosening MAL and RP, could by my mem controller?:strick:Quote:

nope, it was a false alarm. i had them up to 299mhz with level 6 while priming, but when i stopped the test (had been going for about 45min), instant bsod. i went back into windows and tried to run superPI at 299mhz... wouldn't even pass 1m
Serves you right for being a show off... :p: :DQuote:

As for the waiting, it seems you can keep waiting for a long time.Quote:

A definitive no-go on 2-2-2-8@200 regardles voltage. :slapass:
(Best 200@2,5-2-2-7)
Swiched them to NF4 Ultra-D, but same results there.
It seems my first statement was correct,
THE EARLY BIRD DOESN`T ALWAYS WIN. :toast:
Commenting on my CE6, 2,5-4-4-8 500, on RDX they run 257X11 3-3-2-7(SanDiego), giving the same memory performance(Sisoft and Everest), as on NF4 Ultra-D 257X11 2,5-3-2-8(Opti 148).
And that is also the speed, I seem to be hitting the wall with.
The UCCC`s give more FSB, but need loose timings. :woot:
I can't seem to get 275 stable for the life of me, I've come a long way from where I was before though, here is my A64Tweak:
http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/7472/2756ni.jpg
Some results:
Loosening MAL and RP to auto/auto/normal made memory 3D stable at 270 and helped stability
Loosening Twr, Twtr, and Trtw didn't did not help stability
Trrd of 3 helps but it is still unstable
Loosening Trfc made memory less stable
Drive Str of 6 helped a lot, I am currently testing @ 5
I am also trying 166 MHz 15.6us as OPB suggested to Philosophy
2.8v helped a LOT with stability
Changing ICL to 256clks didn't seem to help much
I MUST get 275 stable at least, 280 will be icing on the cake
Any suggestions?
