I don't know what's up with 540 no mods?????

yeah it does sound like you have a very nice core - but jsut because it was easy to hit 500, dont assume 540 will be easy. before hardcore testing I had a pelt and water and the card still kicked up an amazing amount of heat at only around 1.55 volts. I dont doubt your core can go to 540 - I jsut think heat will stop you cold (so to speak). I really hope it does not though - best of luck to you! be the first to 600/600!

heat is a very big factor, my card would do 450/600 on stock cooling, moved to zalman vf700-cu cooler and it would bench @ 477/615. when extremely cold (30deg. f.) and bench with computer on my screen in porch it will bench @ 486/615. this is with no mods. so temp is the stopper at least on my card. still need to try the pencil mod though.

fantatstic core clocks, i saw your score and thought, thts not possible LOL. Then i came here and saw your core clocks and everything made perfect sense.

looks like im going to have to try and break 34k, too many peeps hovering near me, need to climb up, heheheee

Just a question for those in the know, how many points would you say a 1mb cache chip would gain over a 512k cache chip? I think my scores may be a little low, but im using a venice so this could be the reason (33557 score wont be up till l8r today). Ive done all the tweaks, except forgot to move the slider to performance, will give tht a go l8r.

got some update now, finished the chiller which will cool my XL :toast: so.....beware i try to :slapass: ur scores :D

some insulation is also needed but i ll be ready at least tomorrow, but need a new crt/tft something cheap last is broken for the bench-run pc

Am newcomer in the X800 XL category and proud to compete with you all even if am starting with silly scores

No mod done yet (am out of trimmer and nepoprene), reached 475/570MHz with stock voltage

Here's what i got from it since now. I hope to reach descent frequencies at least on the core ;) My board is a Sapphire one

also have done a run yesterday with the chiller which goes down to -23,3Celsius and i got the same score in 05 :D got the card up to 505mhz core without mods :D so more to come soOn here s the shot:

Great going andL64 and nice overclock on the core. Must be my CPU speed that got me to that score, since my GFX is nowhere near yours. :D

Try the 5.6's for 2k5. I got 6015 last night and my card was only running 459/565.

Almost seems like I should have kept my X800XL, caus' you are getting some pretty high scores! But it would be nice if you wrote what kind of mem you have, so that one can see how 2,0ns is perfoming compared to 1,6ns..

Glade to know the 5.6 cats are doing so well. I'm stuck between 5700-5800. Maybe these drivers will give me the boost I need.

i know tronik i meant urs too :)

but still couldnt get as far only 6360 with 525/585 5.6 my winchester cant get more than 2800 for benching....
also my chiller goes down to -30 water/af mixture but having some probs with core temp its about 0C idle with the mods which is to high.
so i have to tune some bit.... i am sure i can get 6500 for now but thats to low so i have to tune first :D
