Assuming you mean the HD4870 1 Gb and GTX 260 216 Core version, it's an even match, basically. It goes down to whichever card is cheaper and your own personal preference. GTX does better in some games, and has PhysX, HD4870 1Gb does better in other games, and handles AA and higher resolutions better.

My chipset blocks ship tomorrow. Hard as hell to get AC TwinPlex XTs. The board is ready to go after that. I have to locate GPUs and blocks, as well as the pumps to run that setup. Then it's fit and finish, and finding a suitable stump/log to sit the case on.
