Soundx98,
Nice clean & classy look. One of the best I've seen.
I like that kind of clean, sleek look.
Good Job!
Jebus, a compliment from TheDude. Thank you very much man. I mean that very seriously.
If no one minds me elaborating a lil bit. I'm really happy with the Matrix Orbital and the LED Indicator Buss. They deliver a lot of information.
Silverstone TJ-067 Info here: http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-tj06.htm
*Removed front fan filter
*Replaced CoolerMaster fans with ThermalTake Smart Fans
*Rear fan holder rotated 90 degrees as it was necessary to mount Von Karajan module without hitting the fan.
*Added handles to the top. This is a steel case with Aluminum front panel.
*Sleeved and wire tied all visible wires. I hid the rest of them.
*Made Custom Flat Cable for Floppy Connection on Venus motherboard
*Changed DFI Stock chipset fan to Evercool VC-RE chipset fan TWICE (1st one D.O.A.)
Info here: http://www.bigbruin.com/html/evercool-vcre.htm
*Added 2x80mm Antec 80mm fans under HDD cage in brushed aluminum housing (I’m trying to keep One (1) Terabyte of storage cool)
*Ran all wires and connectors under the motherboard
*Spent hours on cable management (it was probably more like days)
*Vantec Silver Fan Buss in 5.25” Bay to control 80mm and 120mm front intakes, rear 120mm exhaust, and XP-90 heatsink fan. I chose this model cause it only changes the voltage from 7V to 12v. Means I don't have to worry about other hands on the knobs. All of the fans are Thermaltake A201X series smart fans with Blue LEDs –
Info here: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/2005/...d/bluesmart.htm
(Note: I’ll be modding a Silverstone blank panel as the Vantec writing bugs me.)
*Matrix Orbital MX421 and customized LCDC software (Reprogrammed completely) Info here: http://www.matrixorbital.com and here www.lcdc.cc
*Dallas One-wire Thermal Probes (Accurate to within 0.5 degrees C)
pdf here: http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS18S20.pdf
Examples of the Matrix Orbital’s display capabilities can be seen here:
http://www.uploadit.org/gallery/13039
*Custom STATUS LEDs on front panel – (They are multi-mode and work in conjunction with the MX421) How do they work? When rig is powered ON as follows:
LED1 Status
OFF/Connected to Internet
ON/Disconnected from Internet
FLASH/Chipset Fan not running
STROBE/CPU Fan not running
ON/STROBE/OFF (sequential) A voltage rail has dropped more than 1%)
LED 2 Status
OFF/CPU Temp below 35C
ON/Temp above 35C
FLASH/CPU Temp above 40C
STROBE/CPU Temp above 45C
ON/STROBE/OFF (sequential) Temp above 50C
LED 3 Status
OFF/GPU Temp below 45C
ON/GPU Temp above 45C
FLASH/GPU Temp above 50C
STROBE/GPU Temp above 55C
ON/STROBE/OFF (sequential) GPU Temp above 60C
These are High Output 5mm Blue LED in a chrome housing so they literally throw a laser like beam of light onto the wall across the room. Pretty hard to miss even sitting off axis.
*Dallas One-wire Thermal probes (one on Memory and one on Raptor with Chomerics T414 Thermal Tape) All information on the Matrix Orbital MX421is also displayed on the “Virtual Display” on one of the monitors.
*6.5” Farenheit LCD Internal display as second monitor
http://camerasandelectronics.com/it...tem=fart6502hrs
*15” Panasonic LCD EDTV for 3rd Monitor (Component In and TV).
Info here: http://www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/pana...c-tc15lt1.html
Voltage and temps are all read by a custom MBM5 config for DFI boards.
