Just look in the OC thread, most of those guys are damn near 4GHz.. the Anandtech article on the C2D more or less pointed out the same.. the 6600 is the CPU they see as the gem of the bunch. Once more ppl get them and start to OC and post results, there should be a better idea of what CPU will be the better choice but I am going by what I have read so far. *shrug*
To tell you the truth, I had it in my cart and stared at it all of Friday. But when I saw the shipping cost of $25 for ground shipping, I just could not do it. TD is simply charging through the nose and trying to take advantage of any customers that they can. Personally I don't want to be pushed around by them. I'll get an X6800 for sure, but a retail priced reasonably. On that token, I've got one pre-ordered from BLT for well over $100 less than I'd pay at Tiger. 3 day shipped opposed to ground, retail opposed to OEM.Quote:

^^ My only concern is how many will they actually get. Those update screen are suppose to be from Ingram not their own warehouse. If true then that's a problem if they only get 9 more in. CeeVee was lucky as he was one of 9 who got their's shipped while eveyone waits. I'll be more of a believer if they can cover all backorders within a single shipment. If they don't there's a problem.
I got my E6300 from ZZF today. Unfortunaitly, I won't have the rest of my system for a couple weeks.
