I have an Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard with 1406 BIOS. This Bios has the long boot problem. How can I fix this problem without changing my BIOS to 2005? The release notes of Bios 2005 state

2. Fix system may take too long time to boot when cerian optical disc drive is connected and no disc is inside.
The Windows logo just freezes for a few seconds when loading the OS. Any fix for this problem?
Kits 12XX series FTW
been ruining 4.3ghz on my 8500 and it's not a E0 :)
I just received asus delux p5q rev.1.03G (bit late I know) and asus hd 5850 directcu. But my PSU chill Innovation CP-700M is not working anymore... piece of sXXt. I just RMA it(how long will it take? I never did a rma before.)
Well UD3-P is nowhere to be found anymore in europe. So cross fingers for me. Last time i did not so bad on maximus formula

Thank you
Hi
I'm having problems with two 2*1GB 9200 kits, Transcend Axe Ram 1200+ (TX1200QLJ-2GK) and my Patriot (PDC22G9600ELK) with my deluxe mobo. The system dont want to boot with them @ 1200mhz even on 1,4V NB i have to put my Corsairs 1066 in order to start system. I run them on system with E8500. Does anyone experience problems with other 9200 kits ? Also cant get more than 570 stable fsb :( (i was using bios by Ket). Can anyone give some advises ? Thanks!
how high is VTT ? usually a no post is either a too low PL or too low VTT...
This morning i boot with my axeram @ 1124
fsb 422
strap 400
PLL on auto (9)
VTT 1,4
VNB 1,4
dunno why but it wants 1,36v+ on NB or i got errors in memtest for fsb over ~410
which test does it fail ?
Both Memtest 4.0 and Memtest86+
at which test in Memtes4.0 does it crap out ? Test 5 , 7 ?
I use free version of Memtest and it fail before reach 5% in Memtest86+ start with errors form test 3 and 4 and i stop it dunno for other tests.
Edit:
I found why the board refuse to post some times with my 9600's  it's because some time when u change memory modules and turn power of board totally OFF after this the board give only 1,8v to dimm (same happens after unsuccessful OC) ;)
p.s. This will not happen if i use LV kits, but mine are not
WOW this fracking(my) mobo is so bad. I can't even OC past 430 after 8h(even on auto) bios 2201 preinstalled. Also i have very low score in vantage only 12k Q9550 HD 5850 everything on stock and fresh system. Is this normal? HAHA 8.5X500 yea right...i will fight with it more, maybe im doing something wrong.
I had major troubles overclocking my q9550. I had load line calibration disabled and needed 1.4v set in bios to get 3.8Ghz. 450x8.5, and ram cant be 1:1 I use 5:6 1081.
How is the 2301 BIOS compared to say 1406 in terms of overclocking and stability? Anyone having problems running Crossfire on 1406 BIOS? I am planning the get another card and was just wondering.
Anyone is having experience yet with this
Usually I run my Q9550@4Ghz with 8GB geil Black dragons PC8500 C6@C5 (so 8*472mhz) @2.24v and a 333mhz nb to fsbstrap
recently I got 4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer single sided PC8500 C5@2.0, so today I tested these and I had problems with booting, 420mhz, and any further it didn't want to boot at all -_- (4x1GB stix)
I find myself in need of a COM1 cable/faceplate (10-pin to DB9) adapter for this board (I guess any recent ASUS MB would use the same part).
Anyone here have one they'd sell me for a few bucks? (ebay/paypal)
im using the 2301 bios - and have to say its the best so far - i've used about 3 different bios' and this is stable and no fsb bugs yet
