sandra 2007/everest reset my vcore with all bios below 1334 that i have tested...
actually it resets it below default vcore .. my E6600s default vcore 1.254v, when i run everest it resets it to 1.218v heh
That was a shoot of my monitor. Retail CPU, no ES or XE.Quote:

Boh!!!
With respect to the Everest issue, I contacted Intel and their response was that as long as IDU works, then there's nothing wrong on their end. Lavalys responed that if the same thing happens in other 3rd party apps such as Speedfan, then it is a BIOS issue and not on their end. I started a thread at the Lavalys forums in the bug report forum. I've asked that they look into maybe working with Intel on the issue.
It sucks because I was looking forward to the newest version of Everest as it offers a way to send the sensor information to other apps and to external devices.
1441 bios i lost some max 1:1 and 4:5 oc'ing stability versus 1334/1304 bios but i gained alot on 2:3 divider.. before 1441 bios, 2:3 only booted up at 266fsb stock, even 1% higher fsb at 2:3 resulted in no boot on 1067fsb strap.
But now with 1441 bios i'm booting up and memtesting on 1067fsb strap so far at 320fsb 2:3 480mhz memory clocks... that's a huge improvement over 266fsb stock 2:3 only bootable :)
I updated to 1441 so to be safe i can drop in kentsfield cpu without issues :)
Final result single 32M @528mhz 4-4-4-8 at 2.36v vdimm with 2:3 divider :)

Before, on 1334 bios best mem clock for this set of memory on D975XBX was 519mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.36v vdimm on 4:5 divider.
To compare same E6700 on P5W DH 2:3 divider but with 525mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.52v vdimm

Hello Everyone.
I've got some great issue with my Bad Axe :( :
As seen on instruction 1 of this topic

The easiest Vmod, I've done on my CPU: Allendale e6400 B2, M/B with rev304 and the latest BIOS for this moment (see below). Of course VID, FSB1333, Power Slope is opened, but the problem is that when changing core voltage, BIOS fixes changes, also IDCC does so...but real core VID is the same (1,213V) as normal and the overclocking capability is frozen below <= 3280MHz.

Please give me some advices
Than-X Beforehand...
CPU-Z also resets the vcore for me on a badaxe (304 here too.) Basically any program other than Intel Desktop Utilities does the same thing.Quote:

1441 bios has improved 2:3 overclocking tremendously :D
ive just set mine up,its a 306rev.cpu is running 2,4@4050 on 133 strap.the wierd thing is.in the biose it shows the cpu is running at 4.6,actoually no matter what i set fsb to.it still shows 4,6 in the forst biose page.its seems orthos stabil at 4050 speed.anyone encounter this misreading in there biose.any hints on how to get it sorted?
Yes. A similar wrong detection for me.Quote:

ignore the incorrect bios reported speed - happens on both my badaxes as well

dam ,so thats why my desktop manager isnt working, thanks for the tip.well this is where im at sofar :D http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=136204 actually this board is a bit better then p5w64 for me atm. so theres no way we can actually see what bandwidth we have on these boards?:confused:Quote:

i have a problem with powering the board! my bad axe doesnt work with 4 pin cpu power connector. the only way i can power it is using 4 to 8 pin adapter and as i've heard it is not good idea to use it if cpu is overclocked.
psu - pcp&c 510tc sli.
i know eva2000 and fcg used the same setup without problems!
well i mainly use 8pin psus now.. probably needed ;)
A few questions for eva2000 or anyone else that can help......
I'm on a Bad Axe rev 305 with 1351 bios and I saw you post 2.39vdimm, is that a new option as my board and 1351 bios only allows 2.2vdimm.
Next question, is there any way to get more than 50% OC on the cpu? Have a 6700 and ran an air cooled (single core)SuperPi 1M @4G and @50% OC (SuperPi score). I would like to try for more, any way around this?
Forgive my ignorance if these questions are dumb, been on AMD since the BE-6 days lol
Where is 2.39 screenshot? On a Bad Axe 1 with no mod?Quote:

There are some different board revision. Mine use a PLL from ICS and with clockgen I can successfully use the ICS XXX48 or XXX23 (the XXX23 work better on my board.)Quote:

Don't install IDCC if you want to use clockgen. It cause BSOD.
