Thanks my friend :toast: I'm picking up the unit either today or tomorrow. Guess what cpu I'll be testing first?? ;)Quote:

I guess il exchange it tomorrow at work for an 0609 XPMW...
Well I've been out of the loop lately, but I just got my new X2 4200+, I know it isn't a 3800 but it's the same ballpark eh? :P
It has a weird stepping, but someone posted their 3800+ had the same one:

It is an 'N' chip BTW
Currently priming 2250MHz @ 1.31v

I am hoping for at least 2.7-2.85GHz ::crosses fingers::
 nice batch #
Is the batch # the 60001? I was never sure :P
it's batch # 1 :)
Ooohh, sexy
Edit:
2.5GHz is 3.5hours prime stable at 1.31v
I'll be happy with 2.8GHz @ low volts
just got this today from newegg. ordered yesterday afternoon. as you can see it is an n chip. google only came up with one but the post was taken down. will post results soon.

Gonna have to get phase soon and get mine under some cold!
2.5Ghz was 12hours stable at 1.31v
I am now trying to get 2.75 stable, it kept BSODing up to 1.39v and would freeze while priming. Core 0 failed after 1.5hours of priming at 1.375x1.048=1.441v (MBM5 read 1.39/1.40) so I am now trying 1.45xAuto. I hope my core 0 doesn't max out very early :(
What is the recommended voltage to stick near for 'N' chips? I remember chew saying that in theory if lots of volts were pumped through the N chips they would die prematurely
Edit:
2.75GHz is 8 hours stable at 1.45xauto
Currently testing 2.8GHz at 1.4x1.048
I've got a 0601 for sale, see sig for link to thread or PM me for detailsQuote:

Core0 on this thing sucks, Core1 chugs along way after Core0 fails. Right now I am trying to get 2.8GHz stable and I am at 1.51v
Does anyone think that it could be a bad IHS mount? My temps are at 38 (on an expert which underreports) with high end water
I've got my X2 3800 just sitting here burning in until I get a new HSF..

loving it so far...
yea, it could definately be a bad ihs mount. Mine would fail core 1 first before I removed the ihs. Now both cores are almost exactly the same as far as stability.
just checking .. but this will work in my asus a8n sli deluxe correct?
yesQuote:
