according to the dfi site the new bios enhances mem compatibility and upgrades the nvidia raid bios.
My 2x512 Corsair 3200XL v1.2 can get stable only if CPC is off ( 2T ) . Newest bios 3.10 can't help . Modules installed in slot 2 and 4 for dual channel . Any one got it stable at 1T and how far your overclocking goes ? Please help with your setting . Thanks .

they work fine 2-2-3-6 at 2.6v example
erm how can i test what is wrong.
memory itself or on die mem controller ?
just bought damn proc yesterday
Yeah, i have that same problem too. Look like this new version is not really good, isnt it :( ?

Anyone with problems with DFI Ultra-D and Plextor 716A?
Mine doesn't get recognized(no drive letter) by windows...
Is bios picking it up ?Quote:

Exactly my problem, i have switched back to 218, all errors gone :banana:Quote:

I guess it's my CBBID 0505 at work though :( (it loads WinXP at 2.7GHz 1.7V but wouldn't bench anything :( )
EDIT: What's a reliable temp reading tool for that DFI? SmartGuardian reports 21-22C idle and 26-28C load for the CPU, this can't be true
What is your cooling ?Quote:

The CPU does suck though, 2.7GHz is a no-go no matter what voltage I give it. But it's a brand new CPU (got it today), so I'll give it a day or two to burn-in and then I'll try again :D
I have 2x512 Corsair 3200XL v1.1 and I did not have much luck with 1T timings either. I did test mine up to 290mhz today at 2T 2.5-4-4-8 2.6v. Tried 300 but got some errors. Currently running at 285 since my cpu maxes at 9x285.Quote:

I hit load optimized defaults, rebooted, and it gives me 2 long beeps, 1 short then boots again. (With the 1/25 bios it would give me repeated long beeps, and with 2/18 I got 2 long beeps, then 1 short and it booted, but I couldn't start windows. All this is solved by setting ram to 9:10 divider.) I cleared CMOS, and it works fine until I change my settings again.
So anyways, I did some experimenting, and found out that I can boot fine with the ram at 1:1 until I hit save and exit. Doesn't matter if I have changed nothing, if I go into the bios and the first thing I do is hit save and exit, then I get the two long beeps and 1 short, then boot. I can, however, go into bios, and hit exit without saving and it will still boot. Once again 9:10 fixes all.
The ram is good, it was in my old nforce2 comp and was error free in memtest .
Any ideas about this?
My 2x256MB of HyperX (BH5) work fine. The BIOS sets the timings to 2-3-2-5 though, dunno why  .
I still haven't tried messing around with the timings, there's too much of them :p:
Are you sure it's not the CPU?
Okey this isnt probably right thread but it might be :P
So my DFI seems to be dead because of bios and I wonder if it's possible to hotflash it with a S754 MSI K8N NEO board? I dont know if they use the same chip but I think they do. There is some silver thing on the neo chip and just plain text on the DFI but it's like the DFI NF2 board, I had the same chip on the NF2 board as on the NF4 board and the same chip on NF2 as the NEO so it should work or am I wrong?
Yes... true... :( :( :(Quote:

trouble: stability and error all the time with 2 sticks of RAM: CPC disable (T2) and then it runs perfect. but why wont it be able to run with T1, memory should be good enough
