I liked the kit I linked because of the 1.5v rating... I've had good luck with my current lovo kit so thats what drew me to it. :yepp:

Don't really know why, I'd just like to have a decent performing 8gb kit, and mem is fairly cheap in the big scheme of things.

If you want a decent performing 8GB kit, you better run a little faster to catch the train that left...Hynix BFR seems harder and harder to find every day.

As far as AIDA results go...
He is running a board completely different than yours, you have different versions of AIDA, you are running higher CPU speed (makes a difference), and your board is tuned for performance with BD...

40 Mhz is not going to have a 400-1100 MB/s effect on scores. (Your read and copy)

I know this is kinda silly, and has no relevance to real world use, but it was pretty cold here tonight 32f (0c)....
So I decided to lift my heavy azz 800D case out on the patio, just to make you guys work harder. :D

8.65 CB 11.5... Pfft, wimp... (J/K krjalone ;)).

I couldn't quite get the 9.xx you were looking for Lightman, but I did try. :p:

I may, or may not have something a little better than this (Zeus). :cool:

I have a Crosshair V Formula coming and maybe i can get my greedy hands on a kit of Flares (14400 C9 though) but i don't think my chip got what it takes.

Congrats man, 15 seconds 1M on a Bully ain't too shabby either! :toast:

I don't think it will be the answer but maybe it helps to OC the chip a tiny bit better. By the end of next week i will have a kit of Flares to complement the board.

The only thing left i will need is cold. ;)

If you wouldn't mind too much, could you pull a heatspreader off the Flares and look at what rev. PSC die they used?

My Pi 2133 C7 sticks will do 32M at 6-9-6 up near 2100 it seems however 7-9-7 scales no further. 6-10-6 is more stable than 7-9-7. I'm curious to see if different IC revisions were used. Also, I remember chew running tRAS 15 as well, when I can not tighten much lower than 20.

I will see Beep, if they good, i'll keep them and i might take them spreaders off for a peek. If they're not good i will get rid of them and then i'm not gonna pull them, unless there's no warrenty sticker stuck on the screws.;)

Just for the record, that 8.24 score of mine is on...sigh...dry ice. Seems to be a motherboard problem.

The rig itself was good, as were temps. The problem was that the board just didn't want to allow anything beyond about 5 GHz. Water to dry ice netted about 250 MHz, and I can't believe it's the CPU causing that. I want to try it again with an ASRock 990FX Extreme4 I think.

CHV is what you used?

Unless your particular board is dysfuntional I highly doubt you'd have problems...

I've been having the same issue as over 5ghz is not looking good, even with cold water. I don't think my issue is the C5F, but more the CPU.

I used a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 for my run. I'm sure things will smooth out eventually, but I'm not sure I'll wait before getting a new bench board. Heck, I've got a new block of plain gray non-drying clay ready. I'm also becoming a fan of conformally coating boards with polyurethane prior to runs. It makes moisture control pretty much optional, but I still dress the board like it wasn't coated anyway.

White rice worked well for me, if you dont mind cleaning it up.

I am too lazy to insulate my boards correctly and am often low on benching time (unless I stay up extremely late, not good for education)...carpet floor in here, rice eats up all moisture and you just dump it on the board. I layered paper towel between socket backplate and board, paper towel (8 thick) around VRM and memory, a few thick rest of board. Dump it off the board when done benching, run over floor with vacuum, all issues solved.
