My first go at sleeving, thanks for the guide!
HAHAHHA well the staple way to remove atx pins is definately easier, I thought i was so good at it i can just push and pull. SO I kept doing it all went well then all of a sudden, i pull the wire outta its pin. silly me.. Now I have to wait for PPCS to get back in stock with Female ATX Pins. Anywhere else I can buy???
Great guide btw

i think they like each other :)
Nice, white sleeving inside a translucent tube.
How did you do that? Just sleeve a regular audiocable and put a tube over it with a chrome bit at the end?
If so, where did you get it? The chrome bit I mean.
@TCassius: Still nothing. ;)
I can see the forums, but only the links of the pictures. Why not host it at Imageshack or pict.com?
It is a 3 pin fan lead, as i am playing with few ideas. As the stereo jack has 3 connecters it works well. :)
Hope that explains a bit more bout it :)

Holy :banana::banana::banana:, that's :banana::banana::banana:ing brilliant. I love this outside the box thinking!
bentleya, I love it!
Major props for creativity, Sir. I'm looking forward to seeing more on this concept. :)
Thanks for the kind words, next step is black sleeving, so just nee to wait for Sir Nils :), also need to modify the fan side a little bit :).
Dangal's Guide + Straw Method by WestCoastMods = WIN
Bentley I love the idea of using stylish plugs instead of these darned molex configurations :) at least for fans if not other parts its wonderful
wow bentleya, this is really nice idea. Agree with Sniipe - your concept hundred times better than awful molex :)
btw, just imagine backpanel of fan controller that looks like hi-fi audio receiver with lots of slots for connectors - I'd love that  Also it would be much easier to connect/disconnect
stereo plug mods have been around for a long time, never has gained in popularity because of the amount of work+costs entailed.
Check these out for examples orac3 + der meister
good job benty!
Does anyone know where to get 1/8 heatshrink and 1/8 sleeving in canada? i would hate to bring it across border and get dinged with charges.. thanks!
perhaps from a well known auction site ?
Hey All,
I was wondering - How much would someone in the UK charge to sleave me 3x 120mm fans in a row? (so they come all off one fan header - Dont worry though, I am going to be using a molex > fan header cable :p)
I cant briad for shnit :(
you're unlikely to get dinged by performance PCs if you get it shipped USPS
Yes, correct it has been done a few times, i have done it already on a project back in beginning of 2007. But This time, its changing a bit, making the idea more common.
