But it's equal what cooling you use according to the achieved fsb...

The wire mods are necessary for reaching high multipliers with high fsbs stably.

It defaults the cpu from 1.45V to 1.775V. It's one strand of wire in the cpu socket as shown here by soundx98:

so what you are telling me is that the L12 mod along with the "wire" mod will give me more FSB?
& is the L12 mod described in the attached pic is the one for the Mobiles?! & if yes, which to go, thee 166 or the 200 one?!

dude, you sure you're doing it right? i mean... i didn't read what kinda proc. you used, but i used
this to do mine with a dlt3c 1700 jiuhb. seems like you short some pins. might be a new variant of that mod, i wouldn't know, but to me it doesn't look right. btw, 2 pages back in this thread is where i posted this, and it might have been posted earlier aswell!

For DFI it resolves cold boot issues with mobile processors, esp. with L12 mod cause the board's setting the cpu to 200MHz with the latest betas and at 1.45V there 're boot probs then.

Then there's a rumour it stablizes higher vcore voltages with those mobiles... dunno if it's right.

And L12 as you know enables you to use high fsb with higher multipliers on DFI's nf2 boards.

L12 is working now, but i'll have to buy me a new POWERFUL PSU! cause i have a 0.04v - 0.08v undervolting! :(

hah you think you .08 is bad, my crappy antec 430 cant hald it within .25 of where its supposed to be.

i set it to 1.8 and itll be at 1.68-1.77

thats one of them...but what about the L12 wire for the Mobil Barton?

This Barton seems to have the bridges covered with a clear substance...you can look but not touch...and as I recall...there was only one cut.

The L12 is located in the upper right corner of the image... the black strand.

It's the socket A shown here, upside down.

i now have the 230 fsb back that i had when i had my old 2100 tbred in this board.

will the voltage one really help the DFI coldboot issue?

Should help... but for some it did not resolve anything... try it to make sure.
