Really is that so. Nubs ! I wonder how the XF R600 will perform using 2-8x Pci-e slots Vs 2-16x pci-e slots.Quote:

you will have to wait.Neither Gary or I have r600 yetQuote:

Zipzoomfly has it.

In back order.
^They've had that for a long time :)
DFI never gets the ATI chipsets right. There was this same delay for the AMD R580 DFI board, and not only did it have horrible bugs that made it un-usable(ULI anyone?) it was expensive as crap and took forever.Quote:

Sorry that I wanted to know if this is the practical board for everyday use seeing how when I am not working I like to game and prefer a nice, fast, system. I mean...who wants features that they already have on their motherboard? especially when all the other motherboards coming out seem to have it......
Is this board a great OC'er? Sure...I bet it is.
Is this board future proofed for vista and possible new games and applications? I DON'T KNOW I WAS ASKING
Sincerely,
Your friend "the newb"
:( So I think I'm thru with this board now. Waited more than 10 weeks to hear this......... :stick:Quote:

Pretty pictars :D.
sorry if i have offended you but the question has been answered several times in this thread. Maybe next time you should read the thread and you would find out your question had already been answered. That way you wouldn't be upset right now and you wouldn't have to bold redface your text to show how angry you are. Also sorry if the term noob offends you, it's merely a joke.Quote:

What does the available bandwidth of the on board RAM of the R600 have to do with available PCIe bandwidth? Even in Crossfire?Quote:

IMO having more than x8 lanes per PEG is just a marketing gimmick, sort of like having 3Gb/s SATA, or NCQ, gangable Gb NIC's, etc. Hell, Crossfire and SLi themselves are pretty much gimmicks too, damn near no one anywhere uses them even here at XS there aren't all that many people bother with it.Quote:

Doesn't all that board ram bandwidth and such get transported over the Pci-e . as a rendered graphics. I have seen no R 600 reviews but if its such a rendering monster. It may very well use up the Pci-e 8x lane in xf. You don't know and niether do I. But it is a fair question. Is it not?
We can't use G80 gtx in sli on anything but NV 2x16x M/B's .
So how do we know amd hasn't planned the same thing for their next chipset? Effectively locking Intel out of the Dual GPU M/B market.
Ever occur to you thats this is what the DoJ investagstion might be looking at. Seeing how NV and AMD are so chummy. I am sure they are looking at price fixing among other things.
