Must be that I have E 6600
The only explanation is that 1066 strap sets a MAXIMUM BANDWIDTH TO 8400 MB/sec
and that with much NB cooling
if i take down fan rpm toward NB it SYS. STALLS
MUST BE
407 x 9 = 440 x 8(your proc multipler) = 3700 MHz => results the same mem bandwidth
What is your memory bandwidth (with sandra) Erwinz ?

here are my settings..

I use the 0913 bios..

My settings are :

CPU Clock Setting 440
PCIE Clock Setting 101
CPU VID Offset Setting +15 mV (not sure.. will confirm later..)
CPU VTT Voltage Setting 1,25 V
DRAM Voltage Setting 2,30 V
NB Chip Voltage Setting 1,75 V

all the streght for the dram is set to 3x

*note that i set 400mhz for the memory on my bios.. when i change it to 533mhz.. it will not post..

*and also when i reboot my system.. it will not boot again.. (cold boots)

*this is just my highest OC but not stable because of the cold boots..

you got a point bud.. i'll try to post my bandwidth in sadra this.. weekend.. currently my rig is not assemble.. I'm a bit busy trying out my friends psu... :D and this weekend I hope to borrow my friends E6600.. I'll post my result..

mm.. hope we can see the DFI lanparty intel edition in action.. :) i really like to buy another mobo.. :D

Was thinkin bout 975 mobo as i'd prob go xfire before long

Edit: read the thread on the other Intel forum, looks like a good mobo, is it available yet, cant find it anywhere in europe.

If Asus could engage 1333 strap on DH
the hardware : i975x would allow the same thing for DFI

DFI just released "10/26" BIOS on their website.

So far it is a bit more stable then 9/13. (no cold, warm boot issues yet)

I am priming at 395Mhz ATM to see if it holds up.

Helped the cold boot issue but it did not fix the problem. I think it is hardware related and will probably never be resolved?

1026 bios did not help me get over 366. It did however seem to make hl2 bsod after 10 or so minutes at the same settings as 0913. I going back to 0913 while I try to decide what board to replace this one with. I've been holding out for the rd600 though now the nvidia seems interesting as well. Of course, since I have an ati graphics board, I imagine I'll stick with a crossfire mobo.

hey the DFI infinity serves me for its price.. and remember its a 975x chipse.. :) ..will be waiting for the 680i to mature and the RD600.. :) hope DFI will show us a king of the LANParty.. :woot:

the bios 11.03 is better than the bios 11.15 in overclock!

Yeah, at 415fsb I would be happy too. All I wanted was 400+, but this board let me down at any price.

new bios I can boot up at 430fsb on 9x multi with e6600, stable is around 415 to 420 I think...

bang for buck best 975 board going for air and water oc's on an e6600 24/7...

Very nice, what ram timings? This things seems to do very well with fatbodies.
