I did the L12 Mod as well. Before I had a 2600+ ( 133 * 16 ) afterwards a 2600+ with 166fsb and 12,5 multiplier!
But it didn't help me to raise the FSB any higher. I also did the VDD Mod and my Ram is Corsair PC3500.
So why doesn't it work ? It just doesn't boot. Keeps doing long beeps.

When does the beep happen? Can you still boot at stock?
I have a NF7-S 2.0 and everything's fine, I can boot with and w/o L12 mod.
Yesterday I flashed a modded BIOS, now I can get at least into Windows with 225Mhz, but no boot is possible with 227Mhz!
strange..
p.s.: I made the VDD Mod, so there's enough voltage for chip!

It doesn't boot with 227mhz because I set the Ram Timing to CL3 and my ram doesn't boot with cl3, no matter if 133Mhz or 227Mhz !
Now I can boot with 245Mhz, but my Ram's voltage is much too low. So next week..soldering ;)

I had read through all this a long time ago, but didn't bother
trying it as most had said they didn't think it would help much on
my "unmodded" Asus A7N8X Deluxe board. So I didn't feel then need to take it
all apart just to try something that probably wouldn't help any.
This weekend I had it all apart doing something else so I figured I would give it a shot.
Went ahead and connected the bridge with thermal grease.
b4: 218 fsb was the limit, not an inch more no matter what.
after: 225 fsb is now not only bootable, but also benchable.
I know its not a huge gain, but for a free 2 minute upgrade it was well worth it!

That's some good news to know, we need people to try it on other mobo to see if the mod works on somethin else than abit
sweet, before I was stuck at 225 now I'm almost at 250 (unstable). Just need to tweak now to get things good :toast:
whats the pin mod that you just put wires into the socket, btw can i just use the copper wires ? i have really thin ones, or is there any specific one you guys recommend and also anyone got pics of this mod ?

In the selection boxes at the top select socket view, your cpu,
and 166 fsb and it will show you exactly where to put the wire.
Its a very handy tool for figuring out how to manipulate cpu's.
Any thin single strand of copper wire should work, just make
sure you trim it up to fit exactly in the holes so it doesnt bend
at the top or under the socket and touch any other pins except
the ones you are trying to connect.

i wanna force 200fsb with my 2500+ on my DFI lanparty ultra b... anyone know if this would/should/wont work?
I've done it on other NForce boards (Epox) & kt400 boards and it doesnt seem to make any diffrence. when i did it on the kt400 mobo i didnt see any change in the bios but windows made me reactivate:confused: . But what the hell give it a try. while you're at it give the 8bit mod a try, i've done it to 2 1700+'s and they post as 3200+ afterwards.:cool:

Forget whether I posted in here or not, but did the L12 to my 8rda+ and I can do 236 2.5-2-2-5/11 stable 24/7 now, could only manage about 210 2-2-2-5/11 before.
234 2-2-2-5/11 benchable but not 100% stable.

works a treat on my board.
can now boot at 250fsb where as before the hishest i could boot at was 230
using forceware i can get the fsb upto 260
great little mod thats well worth doing
i did the mod this past weekend and when i booted into BIOS, just like vlad it gave me the (only) option of 3200+ which means its a 200mhz fsb, hmm
but, i corrupted the bios so results will have to wait til friday cuz i ordered a bios savior kit
worked for me.... Tbred B 1700+ DLT3C JIUHB 166fsb mod via Socket shunt... on the EPox 8rda3+ rev 2.1 board...
Beforce 226fsb max stable... i just finished the mod, and currently at 231mhz without Errors on any benchmark ( before the mod, 230 was a Big BSOD or errors everywhere)
i will se the max stable today, im trying to see if i lost performance with the mod......

If you read the first post you would have seen that it works only on nf7 rev2 but some people have had success with other boards
You can try it (it doesn't take time) and report here your success
