another update: im currently using my corsair TCCD based ram , because of problems with the booster and VX on this board. I didn't get what i wanted on SuperPi but i came close, also AM3 shuttered ALOT! But i got a 15K CPU score out of it

if it s first boot with p4gd1 and pm , you must flash with bios 1005 or 1006Quote:

i flashed this mobo already with p4, i boted with p-m already i was able to reach windows, but when i have put everythig together (hd,cd-roms....) ...no boot? wtf!!
i had the same problem, its probably a driver issue, can you boot into windows in safe mode?
no beacause at start(when i push power button) my computer is working but on screen is nothing:slobber:Quote:

Hello
In which aplications Dotchan has adwantage over other procesors. I mean, if You prepare p4p800e with dothan configured that it does 1M in 25sec.
Well There are only old tests & comparations. I am thinking if that kind of platform is steel a good idea to use it for games? Could it be using as a graphic station with Fire Gl? Is it a good Idea?
How about MAYA, CAD.....

Seems like you need a chipset vmod. I managed to do 262mhz on my mems 1:1 Superpi 1M without mods. Dunno how high the fsb will go.
1.8v is plenty, i doubt you'll get much gains from >1.8v unless you dice your NB :p:
I have a chipset mod already, tried 1.9V but that does not help.
And BTW, my OCZ EL gold sticks (utt bh5) do not work on this board at all. No post. So, I suspect the board is not good.
I had a play with a m780 tonight my toes are still cold after spending 5 hours out in the cold (-1C outside the shed 7C inside) everything air cooled.
i have a cpuz dump but it wont upload cause my version is old :(

my biggest problem is my ram this run was my best 1m super pi stable 24.20s
a 2nd run of this would cause memory errors. i need some bh-5 ram that will ruh at 260 2-2-2-5 this would greatly improve my scores.
i increased the multi to 12 and ran at 3033 for 3dmark but this ment my ram was not running as fast as it could and i dont think i can drop the ram timmings any lower .
this was at 440 gpu and 1200 memory 6800gt 256mb default vcore.
i could not get a 128mb 128bit 9250 card local only a 64bit one and the ram was verry poor but would run 310 on the core.
as i have now sold my current dothans and only have the 780 and 770 on loan i didnt fire up the single stage but do have a 770 es on the way soon and this ones a keeper.
http://www.ljsnet.co.uk/benchin/m780-3033-440-1200.jpg
and this was the max 1m stable before my ram died.

again at 7C room temp in air
how much voltage did you put in it and for how long?
bios set to 1.6v i also measured the volts on my vdroop mod @ 1.6v
but anything i use to read the vcore in windows shows anything between 1.55 and 1.568.
never changed from 1.6v and was benching for well over 5 hrs.

so far... this is what I can get with boxed (CT479) cooler and 1.5V in bios (some Prime later)

I'm hoping to stick this in my laptop and pin mod it without having to increase my voltages. Think I have a good chance?
The fsb pinmod only works with the 7x5 processors. According to that serial number, the processor is a 745. So the pinmod will work, but chances are that you're going to have to increase voltage (which you can also do via pin jumpers btw) to get it stable at 533MHz fsb. Your basically talking about running a B1 at 2.4GHz with 1.308 volts. Chances are it's not going to happen.Quote:

i wouldnt use more than 1.6v for 24/7...at least not with air or wathercooling.

Now I'm confused... I got a M 740 and it hits a wall at 2370MHz no matter what voltage or cooling. I'm running it atm in a P4C800E-Dlx with vdroop, vmem, vcore and vagd mods. The max OC does not change if I give it 1.25v or 1.7v the wall is at 2370MHz, this is kinda strange and uncommon, I also got a partly-modded CT-479 adapter and no use... Does someone have an idea where the problem is...?
Ram/chipset limitation? Try using a divider and a higher multi.Quote:

I have tested with different multipliers and I know that my board can do 270MHz (did it with my P4) and my new memory can do 255MHz at 2-2-2-5 so those two are unlikely holding me back. It's like a brick wall, no matter what multiplier, voltage or cooling (tried with the adapters heatsink) I throw at it is wount budge.Quote:

I thought pat and turbo at 200fsb was differant settings than when at any other fsb plus you dont get the correct ram speeds so i would only have 333 instead of 400 , 500, 533 at fsb < 200.

but yeah if you get locks with the 6800gt it should be fine.
would setting ram latency to 11 in 865 ram tweaker be the same as pat and turbo at 200 ?
this would help with my 9250 quest for #1 spot in 3d2k1
