Seems the conclusion of that thread was user error.
My CPU PLL was so low because my chip really liked it that low. Some others set theirs down to 1.2 and it was better for them there. Some would use 1.6... It's really different for every chip, and you just have to figure out what is best for yours.

I first want to apologize for waking this thread up. I know it is old but I am still using this board and do not yet see any reason not to, lol.
If anyone here in this thread can remember, did your R3E boot from the USB 3.0 port when using USB 3.0 devices? I can boot from the USB 3.0 port, but only when using USB 2.0 devices. The BIOS does not see USB 3.0 devices unless I am using a USB 2.0 port. I have another x58 Motherboard with the exact same Renases/NEC chip (uPD720200F1) and it boots USB 3.0 devices just fine.
Is this normal for the R3E? Did you guys ever boot 3.0 devices from the USB 3.0 ports? Thank you for any memories, if you can please.
