@Weevil: Yeah, i am loving that scenery aswell.... what about if you made it a HDR, or did some photo stacking? to get the blue showing... whats "behind" the camera?
@Hale88 Amazing shot i love how dark, yet colorful it is!
@barfastic, I think I may try this as an HDR, we're going back there next week to take some sunset shots, will make sure to bring the tripod to get some good sets for an HDR.

I have sat in that very spot, nice shot.
Puente de Alcántara, Cáceres.
This bridge connects Norba, current Cáceres, with Conimbriga today Condeixa a Velha in Portugal. Built by Gaius Julius Lacer, between 104 and 106 aD. In the pavilion of the fund is an inscription that reads: "that last as long as the world shall last"
The height in its two central arches is 48m, the triumphal arch is 13. Its length is 214m.

Amazing thats in THAT good of shape, have they ever had to repair or reinforce it since it was constructed?
An arch was destroyed in the war with France and another in the Civil War in the 19th century. But was rebuilt in the same way. The arch of triumph was reformed by placing the stones that are now up.
It is amazing to see live :)
